Well, OTA still works for ABC… and the only thing I’d want from ESPN is live sports, but there’s other options for that out there that don’t require a sub fee… so I don’t see the problem.
While the Joke is that that’s definitely not a tomato plant…
Apparently tomato’s can do something like this if you fertilize with the wrong formula (I.e. high nitrogen).
Tried growing some tomatoes myself for the first time this year… gave em the same fertilizer I was giving everything else, and they exploded with green growth into a giant bush, but never produced a single tomato. A few flowers would bloom, it’d get some small green ones, then they’d just fall right off the bush a day latter.
Except everyone uses crap bit rates and compression on their streaming content and it really doesn’t look that much better than 1080p. UHD Blu Rays tho are a totally different story, absolutely outclassing lower res content.
Kind of reminds me of how our 100 year long strategy of putting out all forest fires as soon as the first spark erupts, has lead to large buildups of brush and growth, that under normal circumstances would have been burnt back, sparing the large trees and forest as
A whole… but now provides so much fuel, that any fire now is not only an unstoppable force, it also kills any and every thing leaving the forests irrecoverable.
I have 1 ATSC 3.0 channel here. It carries the same 720p content as the ATSC 1.0 version that’s being simulcast. The 3.0 version is slightly nicer picture…. with what looks like less or better compression. But definitely not worth going out and getting a new TV or tuner for.
I my town, we just had the peak graduating class in terms of number of students. From this point forward, at least as far as we have data on (which would be around 4 or 5 year olds entering the school system) there will be fewer people graduating every single year.
Cool. Then just as soon as the other 49 states agree to outlaw gerrymandering, I’ll vote to repeal prop 50.
