Empty classrooms for the poor (the rich just do whatever anyway) IS the goal since an ill educated population is a controllable one. Fascists always come to destroy the schools.
I felt the same way (still do), but we managed to make the move to a better place. Fight for your home, or find a better one, but both options are better than just stewing in despair.
My computer and my home should be controlled by me and I should be responsible for my children. Yes, that means I have to know how to configure any systems and talk with my children as needed for our home and their well being. I have to be the adult in the home, not the tech provider.
My last place basically did it too. They adjusted salaries for post covid corporate profiteering inflation, but only a little. Not enough to even begin to catch up with how much less we were making.
Strangely, many of the younger people there left. They could do the math and the org insulted us with their raise after years of salary stagnation.
If the judge is even remotely put together on the law, not a corrupt right winger like so many of them are now, and not bribed yet, it's definitely a mistrial.
The problem we have on a larger scale is that Hannigan and Bondi should be disbarred, might be disbarred, but would they actually be removed from their positions? The current leadership just doesn't care about the law, so why would they care about some legal panel trying to enforce the legal system in the first place?
