Did you forget all the COVID anti-mask and anti-distancing insanity? The still-not-fully-understood blatant theft and corruption around the PPP “loan” program that pilfered so much money it inflated the US Dollar at unprecedented rates? The intentional separation of children from parents by force?
OP, note that this starting current spike is much more of an issue with older/more industrial washing models. When your drum spins up, does it make a simultaneous cachunk and deep humming noise, or does it make an irritating high-pitched mosquito whine? If it’s the mosquito whine your drum motor is driven by an inverter that really smooths out the starting current.
240v power makes this better, because it means the starting current is exponentially lower for the same torque. It’s mostly a American/Japanese problem.
Many school districts have already implemented a policy that the bus driver is not allowed to open the doors and let kids off if there are Nazis around. They are taking advantage of this by just stalking the busses and trapping the kids in them for hours and hours because they are sick fucks that get off on torturing children. All ICE must die.
I see why you might draw the comparison, but I actually don’t think the comparison is valid at all. Forums/communities can still be useful and fun with only a few people. Discord is also massively popular with a small community model, for a more successful example to compare with the fediverse. However a currency that nobody uses or accepts is entirely useless until mass adoption happens. That’s why they typically get mandated by force by governments.
If [other applications of the blockchain, which has now existed for an extremely long time] don’t have critical mass then your distinction is meaningless.
Then why hasn’t a better blockchain based currency gained any popularity? If they don’t have critical mass then your distinction is meaningless. It turns out there is just zero real world need for an untrusted distributed ledger. Databases and governments solve the problem much better.
Yeah, it was definitely that and not all the web browsing and searching you and your colleague did before, during, and after the meeting, and the meeting notes you sent over gmail/microsoft mail. 🙄
I will believe you if you can provide just 2 examples.
