  • Source comic (NSFW for some blood later in the comic) for the image. It was tickling my brain that it was so familiar.

  • According to this dictionary, "Africa" was "blackies" and "Japan" was "slant eye".

  • I read it as them treating the initialism "GPT" as an acronym, resulting in "gibbity". I once a YouTuber refer to ChatGPT as "Mr. jip-uh-tee" and I think this is the same idea. I think your definition of "researching using AI" is right, they're just saying it in a joking way.

  • I read a book a while ago called The Annotated Chronicles that included a "boot scene" and the margins included a note from one of the authors about how Kirk inspired the idea. I hadn't seen Star Trek, nor did I know anything about it, so I didn't get the reference until just now. Your meme just resolved a 15-year gap in knowledge for me.

  • The source I linked for the top plane is the original photo. There's a lot of copies of the edited version with that pinup added, but I couldn't find a definitive original source for who added it.

  • I rented a room from my boss in college and he pulled this prank on me. First he hid it in the office and convinced all my coworkers to pretend not to hear it. It would switch between a creepy child's laugh to a man groaning to other random noises. I was pretty sure it was a noisemaker, but I couldn't get anyone else to admit that they could hear it so I couldn't confirm.

Then he moved it into the air vents of his house that I was renting a room in. I started to think I was developing schizophrenia since my mom suffered from it and after I confided as much in my roommate / coworker, he finally came clean and showed me where our boss hid it.

All of this to say, it's a very effective prank.

The post includes higher quality and close up pictures of the project poster and pictures of the cats. The conclusion is that only short hair cats' buttholes might touch soft, uneven surfaces, like bedding or laundry.

    The text of the post:

Get ready for a good laugh! Kaeden (Henry) completed his 6th grade science fair project this past week and tackled the challenging task of answering the internet's most burning question, drum roll please, 🥁🥁🥁"Does your cat's butthole really touch all the surfaces in your home?" 😂 We had a lot of fun with this! As a disclaimer, no cat's were harmed in the process of this science project. Non-toxic lipstick was applied to their bum-bums, they were then given a series of commands (sit, wait, lie down, and jump up. Side note: Both cats have been trained since kittenhood with a variety of commands, they also know how to high-five, spin around, and speak.), they were compensated with lots of praise, pets, and their favorite treats, and the lipstick was removed with a baby wipe once we collected our data in just under 10 minutes.

His results and general findings:✅Long and medium haired cat's buttholes made NO contact with soft or hard surfaces at all.✅Short haired cats made NO contact on hard surfaces. But we did see evidence of a slight smear on the soft bedding surface. ⚠️

Conclusion, if you have a short haired cat and they may be lying on a pile of laundry, an unmade bed, or other soft uneven surface, then their butthole MAY touch those surfaces!

So there you have it! Chances are favorable that your cat's butthole has not and will not touch all the things and surfaces in your home!

Fellow Facebook peeps, you are more than welcome to share this post, to give proper credit, Kaeden's last name is Henry and we live in Perry, Florida. ☺️

UPDATE: Thank you all so much for the love!!! ❤️ I screenshotted many comments and shared them with Kaeden this morning. We are both so very touched! And y'all's comments are lit! 🔥 They gave me so many great laughs last night reading through them! And yes, Kaeden most definitely got an A++++++, we homeschool so l made sure he got his A+! 🤩 Funny thing is I have a Ph.D. in animal behavior, with a concentration in feline behavior that I've never used 🤦🏻‍♀️, I feel like for the first time in 15 years I actually put my degree to use, even though I was only supervising his science project! But that we actually did contribute useful information to the cat world! I am so tickled! Thank y'all so very much!!! ❤️❤️❤️

  • I’m constantly astounded that people seem to unironically enjoy that movie. I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade so I stay away from discussions about it, but I saw it in theaters (because I also love Jason Statham) and immediately regretted it. It felt like it was written as a joke, but then tried to take itself seriously, and failed at both. I feel like I’m getting pranked by people saying they like that movie.
