Not the most searchable since it's main use is through it's api (I use it through retrodeck/ES-DE which is for ROM libraries) but screenscraper.fr contains scans of boxart, title art, videos from the games, manuals that used to come with physical copies and a lot more.
If you want retro ROMs, I can't help you since I don't know if I can link to those types of sites but ask on !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com and check their wiki linked at the top of the community.
My favourite part of British food is the way it has merged with foreign food, like the curry dishes for example.
That does also mean there aren't any British restaurants since they are usually labelled with the culture that shows there is actual flavour and not the culture famous for eating wartime food in the 21st century...
Not YDI but not PTB. Both sides are in the right. Saying the holocaust was worse than what Israel is doing in Gaza is a true statement but at the same time sounds like you are trying to make what is happening in Gaza seem like not a big deal (which it is) and sounds like zionist apologia if you don't make it obvious you dislike what Israel are doing.
They're not talking about sponsored links, they're talking about the "quick links" that take random sites from your history and put them on your new tab page. They take forever to remove because if you remove one it grabs another website from your history and puts it there instead.
There is !fedia@fedia.io but that place seems inactive. I couldn't find a status page listed in their sidebar. When I was looking around it was very slow so it isn't just a problem with you
Seeing "spicy pillows" always makes me extremely anxious because of how horribly it can go for anyone near one. This community would be extremely bad for my mental health... I joined it...
One of my favourite game dev stories from the 1980s is the story of Elite. It was a game people thought couldn't be made. Most devs thought hardware wasn't powerful enough and publishers thought it wouldn't be fun enough.
It was one of the first properly 3D open world video games ever made. I think when it released it sold nearly as many copies as there were home computers that could run it.
In order to make the game small enough to fit on a cassette tape they had to ditch basic and program the entire game, world in assembly.
Unrelated but a few Nando's near me (not sure if it is all of the UK's Nando's) started offering a fanta orange flavoured sauce to replace the regular peri peri stuff on our chicken.
No one I went with last time wanted to try it so I don't know how nice it is but it sounds disgusting!
In the uk sports teams just share a name with their city! Both seem pretty cool! Although the British way of doing things can sometimes be confusing
"[City] is about to go bankrupt" Do they mean the team or the city? Both are just as believable and as someone who doesn't care about sport, one is significantly more scary!
