  • Yes but unfortunately nothing specific about the strength of any particular option.

  • getting people to feel apathetic and fatalistic using messages like this post is actually a well known strategy to destroy motivation for change

That may be true but it also has no bearing on reality.

  • Where are the best places to move to?

The amount of resources it would take to terraform a new planet would be a tiny fraction of what it would take to fix the one that molded us.

  • That's the fun part of the Epstein emails, he writes like a brain damaged person.

  • Prove it.

  • It still reads like an ad for yunohost...

An ad for what, exactly? Yunohost doesn't have anything to sell you...

Sometimes people are just passionate about things. Like digital sovereignty.

People aren't learning how to use each of these tools and how to be flexible in their implementation.

Who gives a shit? I don't know how to write apps for my phone either, I just click the install button and away I go. I don't have time for a new career. If it weren't for YNH I wouldn't be hosting at all. And it's not for lack of trying. Shit is complicated.

  • Huh?

  • Precisely

  • I mean depends on how you count them, but probably something like that.

  • I went to verify your statement with Fox News and indeed there was absolutely nothing about this hearing (seems important, no?), but I was actually kind of blown away by the kind of propaganda they were airing like "'EXTRAORDINARY': Trump's economy soars to NEW highs as tariff revenue pours in!"

  • She spent the entire hearing ignoring questions and redirecting criticisms for unrelated events back at the people questioning her. You can see from the contents of her binder that this was the plan all along.

I don't think it worked too well but I also can't comprehend the thought processes of MAGA-brained morons that are still supporting these people, so maybe it did in their eyes.

  • I'm a professional, I have thousands of tools I use on a regular basis, and I use them to make money

  • I don't think many Windows users will be able to get any Windows applications running under Wine.

You literally just double click the .exe file and it opens. If you can do it on Windows, you can do it on Zorin. That's the appeal. Obvi some apps won't work but many will (I've done it many times) and some is much better than none. My only gripe is that you have to find and install the Windows app, it doesn't come pre-installed for some reason.

But Zorin's hype leads one to believe that a 15-year-old machine won't struggle.

I've already addressed that in the previous comment.

  • Which dude

  • Yeah, I mean...that's what you get with most distros, honestly LOL. A fancy wrapper and some curated preinstalled software. They do have the Windows App Support that makes using WINE and Bottles like way easier.

I have installed on an identical system in this review (n100) and it runs great and looks really nice.

The article seems to mostly take umbrage with the marketing from the platform, which is fair, but not the platform itself.

  • ...would you like to share your experience or explain your position? Did you read this review before or after you started using it?

  • I'm telling you from experience, for whatever reason, it's like pulling teeth to get people to install another app, much less actually use it.

  • ...what pinhole cameras?
