  • all they can about is riling people up emotionally.

Damn, this shit goes all the way to the places where people signed up for boring policy work and can make a difference?

  • I get why the whole "colorblind" thing ended, but what we replaced it with is even worse.

  • Lemmy is a website full of people who are left-populists on paper, but hate the population.

The average Lemmite should never be in charge of anything that their IT degree doesn't qualify them for.

  • I mean, I find it hard to not read "the Dem establishment is scared" as a positive. Even if I'm seeing outside my own hatred for the establishment, disestablishmentarianism is generally a winning position in the US (Trumpism could succinctly be described as "dumb disestablishmentarianism")

  • you might as well start posting Joker images everywhere

  • My personal answer is that people, particularly left-of-center folk from other Western countries, want us to feel like it's our fault. The way they talk about us.

I don't truly believe it, but that doesn't mean I don't internalize it.

  • Unfortunately there are a lot of people who use "thugs and gangsters" as a euphemism for "black people"

I'd bet money the average working class black American hates actual thugs and gangsters more than most though.

  • I would engage with it, but it wouldn't make me feel attracted.

I also think I'm an odd one out.

  • The average Lemmite is the kind of person that thinks you shouldn't be allowed to ignore politics

  • My god Lemmy users are self congratulatory.

  • Radon

  • Yeah I really don't like the "blue collar good tech bad" undertone here

  • As someone who's in a similar position...I like the technology and the idea of booting tech billionaires. I don't like how the userbase here is so monolithic, and this comment section makes me think people here like that this platform is a circlejerk.

  • Same thing that happened to the 2 dollar bill right? Still usable as currency but no longer made.

  • LMMS is further behind it's proprietary competition than GIMP is (to the point where I think Audacity will be usable as a DAW before LMMS catches up) but I know DAWs are less mainstream than picture editing.

  • I thought that represented money

  • Gold

  • This is why my dad hated Trump before he was in politics

  • do you think this post is serious
