  • Funny thing, that. I was prescribed a fairly high dose of Oxy daily for half a year, then Morphine and eventually some other stuff depending on the doctor in question. At one point in the hospital a doctor had to "feel me up" pre surgery and she told me it was going to hurt like hell and I was going to get IV Fentanyl beforehand so I could get through it. I was like "ooh, this'll be interesting" but it honestly did fuck all for me. She was wondering how the hell I could be hurting or even feel anything after the amount they gave me.

I was unlucky enough to have several surgeries just before 2020. It wasn't all that fun having to go cold turkey afterwards when not a single doctor suddenly had time to keep up with all my shit.

Weirdly enough I get high as hell from Tramadol of all things, which many dislike strongly. I guess I just metabolize that shit really well. I was on that for 3 years straight before I decided to wean myself off. I still have to eat some here and there since one of the surgeries was wildly unsuccessful but anyway, to each their own I guess.

I can see why people got hooked on Oxy though, holy shit. It's nice when you're truly hurting though.

  • Gl with that.

  • Ah, so that is why they fell out. I've been curious about that for a long time.

I've been on the fence about FW for quite a while otherwise as well. On one hand I like the format (before the self-promotion took over to this degree), on the other hand certain things were a bit suspect. Larry Vickers as a guest, anyone?

I don't get overtly bigot-vibes from him either though, so perhaps you're correct and he's just out to get his and that's that? It would be interesting to know.

  • It's almost impressive how you managed to get all the bs russian talking points into such a short post. Almost.

  • Thank you!

  • Same same. It's a whole other game when you can progress at your own pace and don't have to worry about resets.

  • Is that a thing for real?

..asking for a friend, because I obviously have loads of those.

  • We're in agreement then. I mean, I don't have anything in particular against China as such, I just don't like how they handled COVID and I certainly have some issues with their governance at large, but their money would still be welcome if there was proper oversight.

I do hope WHO will get up and running at 100% though, they're sorely needed. Considering what's happening in the US I don't think it'll be long before some shit happens over there as well.

  • I'm with you there, in theory at least. Chinese money tends to come with strings attached, though. I'd be weary of that kind of influence without proper oversight.

It's not like the WHO hasn't flip-flopped on things before due to outside pressure either, so there's some precedent there.

  • He's protected on account of his imaginary wealth. It's all kinds of wrong but it is what it is.

  • Yeah, because that'll surely end well. Any strong democracy would be a lot better than either the US or China.

China still hasn't been anywhere near transparent about COVID, for example. Do you really think they'd be any better if an outbreak of something similar would happen, especially if it originated from China in the first place.

  • Oh someone finally noticed he might not be completely trustworthy huh?

    Jfc.

  • You're not wrong.

  • If I didn't know any better I'd think you were my partner, lol. We have had the exact same thing going on for years. I never even wanted to touch W11 but due to her wanting to play a specific type of game we both ended up with W11 desktops anyways. A lot more frustrating (won't even get into that) and costly than it would ever have been otherwise. I'm very happy with Mint on my laptop otherwise for example, it plays the smaller games I prefer just fine.

But time together is important, too. Even if that is just playing online with a small group of friends for an hour or two in the evenings it does mean so very much to everyone involved.

  • My point is nobody was exactly innocent there, and while we were allies of convenience with Germany for a time we also got help from none other than Great Britain, Sweden and even the US in the same timeframe. We were never part of the third Reich in any capacity, and you damn well know it.

Also, we fought a defensive war, not an offensive one.

  • Operation Paperclip.

  • Kasumi from DoA, no doubt.

  • That same grandfather fought on the red side of our civil war. You're writing about things you know fuck all about. Russia attacked us, we struck them back worse. Twice. Then we fought the Germans right after that for good measure, and kicked those out too.

Westerner or not at least get your fuckin facts straight before spouting off.

  • I'm Finnish. Might know a thing or two about what they're up to both short and long term.

I might even read passable russian since it's something that's pretty important in the area I live in, about an hour from the border.

My grandfather was 'naded in the continuation war too, but please do continue to act like you're the expert here.
