  • Didn't read the article, but answering your question in the title:

autistic people exist, but no real word to describe them adequately

    someone bothers doing research

more and more people get the diagnosis based on scientific criteria and understanding, which is fluid as time and learning go on

total number changes if autistic people are born or die, not just willy-nilly as so many people seem to suggest

some person does not understand that growing number of autism diagnoses != growing number of autistic people

"Are there more autistic people now?"

Not your fault OP, I'm just really bothered to read something like that. That's if our eyes got an upgrade and we were able to suddenly distinguish one more colour. No, nothing turned the new colour, it was always there. It just wasn't perceivable to us prior to the upgrade.

  • Of course there are things that are unacceptable to pirate, one thing being sex workers' content. Their survival very much depends on whether someone pays for their work. As others have said, there is plenty of free content on the internet. If OP is so desperate for a wank (which no one owes them, btw), then they can visit the content that doesn't cost a thing.

We should always show solidarity towards the weakest and poorest of us. Most people who do sex work don't do it out of joy but necessity. Fucking pay them.

  • Absolute Ausbeute und so demütigend. Die Arbeit einer behinderten Person ist nicht weniger wert als die Arbeit einer geistig und/oder körperlich unversehrten Person.

  • I see, thanks.

  • Since when is Linux spyware OS? Given that there are Whonix and Qubes that are the exact opposite of spyware-esque OS.

  • This is so stupid. I love it.

  • Or libgen.

  • Ah danke, so macht das mehr Sinn!

  • The problem isn't pirates, it's films and series being available in one country and unavailable in another. It's greedy af streaming services that keep raising the prices, having a small percentage of overall films and series available and expecting people to get a handful(!) of those, 15€ or more per service(!) just to have some sort of half decent coverage. On top of all that, they keep raising prices while introducing ads for their paid tier(!), they further raid their library of media just so that the consumer is left with mostly crap and maybe a vanishing number of quality films and series.

I don't know why today, but I'm furious. When having a headache because of a tumor, then the headache isn't the problem and aspirin isn't the cure. The problem is the tumor and it needs to be treated chemically, surgically or via radiation.

Piracy is not the problem. It's the symptom that has been pointing to the actual problem: capitalist greed.

For the longest time I've paid for streaming services, still do. But after sitting for over half an hour trying to figure out whether I should watch crappy series 1, 2, 3, 4 or maybe 5, ... I refuse to finance some capitalist's yacht with that. It's literally degraded to me handing over money, full stop. It's a one-directional transaction which does not happen in my favour.

I'm angry, hence the vent. I couldn't care less about some arse not getting my money. I hope they choke on their caviar. My breaking point is reached. Long live piracy.

Deswegen machen's wenige."??

  • Das ist maximalst dystopisch.

  • I'm not talking about people who didn't rape but were accused of it. I'm talking about actual rapists. Funny how quick people are to defend rapists.

  • Absolutely terrible and disgusting. All rapists should get a life sentence, full stop. The damage they do sticks with the victims for their whole lives, it robs them of a normal life.

  • Thank you for your elaborate reply!

  • So how do you know that luxchat is a full stop for-profit company? That's the part I meant, I just saw that my comment appeared after you edited your comment.

  • I mean, is Microsoft truly going to stop at DRM labelled content? Now they claim they will, but I don't trust they will in the future.
