  • I've been to lots of protests, even crossing half my country to go to some (huge country btw), for decades. I just got tired of everybody pretending to be angry and then celebrate pyrrhic victories, if we even managed to get one. I was politically involved and pissed since my early teens, but nothing has ever truly changed due to protests. Only shallow changes, promptly reversed a few months or years later and nobody cared, because nobody was willing to even cause destruction of property at the very least. I got pepper-sprayed too many times to bother with fake outrages. If nobody is going to really care, neither will I.

If you're just gonna pretend to be angry, I'm not interested." No change will ever come from playing their game, Dr King showed everybody that even if you're playing with their rules, you'll still end up with a bullet if you become too big of a threat. The real game is all about violence, one side is more than willing to use it, why aren't we?

  • It's not particularly about him, his channel, or his content. If his channel had been declining, that's usually a downward trend. What happened instead is that LTT lost 50% of their viewers suddenly in the last month. Other YouTubers have also stated that in the last month, out of nowhere, their viewership dropped crazily, up to 60%. However, LTT analyzed that although they have half as many viewers, 'like ratio' skyrocketed and ad revenue stayed the same. Josh Strife Hayes made a video blaming YT's new feature "restricted mode" for this, which, when active, blocks a lot of videos for seemingly no reason. Some others have also noted the problem and are investigating, but a lot of information points out to something youtube did as the cause of the issue.

  • People under 18 shouldn't be on social media, at all. It's incredibly bad for them, as proven by many many studies. You don't need to lose your liberties for this, I guarantee you that google/apple know most people's age from their super vast data collection based on how much people overshare online. All it takes is to force these giant companies to actually enforce the use of their own technologies, and for governments to spread awareness on how and why to use them, passing a law making it mandatory and part of parental duties is just an icing on the cake that can be used by schools to demand that parents parent their kids.

    As a teacher, I do mind taking a student's phone away, as I don't think the phone itself is the problem, but what they're doing with it. And the best approach is not to simply shun the device, but to learn and foster how to use such a powerful tool as a potentiator of education. Banning devices is stupid because it's the easy way out, the lazy choice. It has been done since I was a kid and all some of us had were brick phones that could call our parents and maybe play simple games. And It has never worked, I know because I often would play games under the desk and my classmates would also often use their phones for games or sms. And today, even if you force kids to hand their phones in at the entrance, or lock them away, they can easily have a backup old phone to hand in instead of their actual phones. And this all comes back to parents. Where are kids getting phones? Why are they being allowed to stay their whole day in them? Because parents don't want to parent, and governments don't want to do what's actually right but hard, so they all decided that it's easier to shift the responsibility for controlling device use onto teachers and schools and pretend the problem is solved. It's not.

  • Played Cyberpunk at release and then after the fixes a bit before the dlc released, gameplay is mediocre at best, typical uninspired AAA open world design. Also, at release the "RPG" elements were complete garbage as well, you'd level up to get an incredible +2% on handling handguns. Oh wow, so great, such innovation!! The only really good thing about Cyberpunk is the writing and voice acting on dialogues, because the "story" is uninspired and badly written as well.

  • As a teacher from a country that passed a similar law a few months ago: this is stupid, it won't work unless you get parents involved. Also, it offloads the parenting responsibility to already overworked teachers. You know a law that could actually be more effective? Ban the use of social media for those below 18. Another one? Make the use of parental controls mandatory for people below 18. This kind of law may only work if it's implemented together with other changes where it's possible to spread the responsibility over the issue across many layers. If all you're doing is relying on schools and teachers, all this law will do is to contribute even more to the high levels of burnout teachers have. Can we please force parents to actually have to parent their fucking kids??

  • Brazil is a democracy (we managed to save it at the last toll of the bell), so the president is not an all-powerful entity. A big part of congress is conservative, many backed by agro businesses, and a lot of the rest are right-wing vultures posing as fundamentalistic evangelicals who support selling the country out for the biggest margin of profit, so that they can live in the glory of lord while their flock of idiots awaits for the supposed arrival of the messiah.

All I need to do to cancel a service/subscription is to cancel that credit card. Good luck trying to get more money from me. This is especially useful for those "free trials", sign up with a credit card that deletes itself after 24h, and bye bye.
