Anyone who believes AI is being used for art/writing and not for other things like doing the dishes, has a myopic understanding and a strong confirmation bias. This strawman argument is defeated by a simple Google search to see the multitude of other places where this technology is benefiting humanity.
All of the megacorps are raising prices because they know consumers cannot do anything about it.
Meanwhile, wages can't keep pace with inflation because, "tHaT wOuLd MaKe ThE pRoBlEm WoRsE" Yes it would, but only allowing huge corporations to do that shit makes the class disparity worse and not allowing individuals to match is boiling a frog in water.
Many corporations simply see customer support as a department that generates 0 revenue and costs them money.
They try to bring those costs down by off-shoring support, using AI, simply not having support, etc. These companies trade the good will of customers, the livelihoods of their employees, and the larger economy all for their short term greed. Line must go up this quarter.
