  • Per rule 4: Can you please update the post title to match that of the source article? Thanks.

  • The crackdown came after California’s governor, Gavin Newsom, filed an emergency request to block the Trump administration from using military forces to accompany Ice officers on raids throughout LA.

It could also be said that this is to protect them against military forces while that is being worked out. Lesser of two evils and all that. Better to be arrested locally than shot

  • Per rule 4: Can you please edit the post title to be the same as the source material?

"Curfew Announced in Downtown Los Angeles"

    Thanks.

  • Rule 6: Not really news. However, it is an excellent read so I encourage you to re-post it elsewhere. Possibly !politics@lemmy.world

  • Rule 10 says we can't have the entire article text in the post due to LW's TOS on copyright infringement. Can you please maybe trim that down to the key points or a summary or something? Don't wanna have to remove this.

  • Per rule 4, can you please update the post title to be the same as the article's?

  • Yeah, the actual title seems more clickbaity than what you posted, but rules is rules.

    Appreciate you correcting it!

  • Can you please fix the post title to comply with rule 4? Post titles must match the source article being posted.

Article title: Nearly 230 killed or wounded as Israel carries out largest massacre since new aid mechanism was enforced in Gaza

  • They buried the lede pretty deep, but the makeup bit is just a lead-in to coverage of the trade agreement struck with Japan's Nippon Steel.

  • I kinda feel like you should provide some tips for the rest of the class.

  • Not sure if this is allowed. I don't see any actual news articles on this.

I've seen government releases allowed in the past, but I don't recall any recently / from the current administration. This isn't really an article/official press release, so I'm inclined to say "no" but will defer to the other mods.

  • Per rule 4, can you please fix the post title to match the article's? The first half of it is fine, but the second half crosses into editorializing (even though part of it is in the description). It also looks like the source updated the headline from what shows in the embed title.

Can you please fix the title to either:

    • NYPD detective on Adams' security detail may be tied to crypto millionaire torture case: Sources (headline on article)
    • Crypto millionaire torture investigation takes shocking turn (headline in embed description)

    Thanks.

  • You may know, but you clearly don't understand.
