  • Did you even read my comment in the mod log? Which part makes me a disgusting bigoted fuckhead, just curious ? I promise you I started out all innocent, but now, I am just seeing how far you will go. And who the heck is JAQing ? Something tells me I stepped into an unhealthy petty exchange.

Just for the record, I do not support murder at all

  • See,,, first I heard he was a grocery store owner.. and if I did not know why so emotional.? I only asked in my original comment who he was, but apparently this murder is being used by bad people for propaganda , which naturally brings out questions about this person, who he was, etc. The removal and your comment tells me I accidentally hit on a sensitive subject for some...

  • So what exactly was bigoted or misinformation on my comment ? I could not figure out how to message the mods, so asking here? I’m asking if he was a Zionist or a regular person caught up in all this ? I called the current Israeli government genocidal. Which triggered the response ?

Edit: I don't think I will ever get an answer, anyone can see that comment is not that horrible, and I did not even call anyone a zionist. I do not like power plays or censorship. Probably will avoid posting or commenting in this community after this, maybe

  • That cut off picture is unsettling; I saw it elsewhere and I never felt so gobsmacked by a friendly and relaxed picture in politics.

  • It’s a great article. And it talks about some scary stuff.

I’m just not sure if that scary stuff is a highbrow fight that does not affect common folk, or a harbinger of doom. Too early to tell

  • All of these are good points, and good to do.

My fear is that most Americans do not talk to their neighbors , do not sit outside and mingle, do not go to church, mosque or temple, or to bars or places of sin, even. They sit at home, go to work. Back and forth, exhausted.

Two generations ago people had stronger community ties. Most people were still exhausted and exploited but complained face to face about it, to neighbors and people in the community they did not know. And that made all the difference to power social movements .

Something is broken here, in my community and I suspect other places, I don’t know how to fix it and have not seen any good fix proposed by others.

I think with time things will change for the better, but many things have to help

  • Fair enough, but I was all riled up over those two words on an otherwise excellent article.

I just happen to think those two words are very important

  • I will never defend the incoming administration, I expect those horrid people will kill maybe 2% of the USA population over the next years, mostly by lack of services, medicine. But I’m sure there will be other horrible things happening also.

But Gaza was always going to be depopulated of Palestinians - and so will the West Bank. The crimes there will get worse and that is coincidental with the new admin, because this final brutality would have been aided by Biden and others in the USA.

  • That simply does not represent the sheer terror, the troublemaking of op. It’s a partial snapshot. This woman terrorized her neighbors for years

  • she had long running arguments with most of her neighbors and the person killed was not in “greater argument” than the many kids and adults who were verbally abused over years.

This is my mini hill I am standing on today: AP press normalized a neighborhood terror.

  • While many Americans will suffer from this new administration, I don’t think it changes the situation in the places I was talking about.

Democrats have a long history of sounding civilized and proper while the death counts do not decrease overseas. And genocide is genocide, it’s really hard to top that even if the new people are worse.

While we enter a new age of destructive actions inside the USA itself, it will be tempting to many to talk up the earlier government. Glorify it even. Make it seem more than it was, which was shitty and murderous to many

  • I followed this news story and “a long running argument” between two people was not my takeaway ?

  • I would be interested to see how they improve gig workers being exploited by algorithms, or if that is even going to happen.

  • At this point it is more like gaslighting than anything serious. And the USA mainstream press, and a big chunk of the press in the EU eats it up, again and again.

A quick look at any Arabic based press quickly restores a sense of reality. As different in perspective as night and day

  • People who own landlines are many times more likely to vote than those who do not understand how a landline works

  • It took me years to understand everything I heard or learned about the USA was propaganda, wishful thinking, misdirection, folk lore etc. And even longer to notice nobody understands how it works now.

  • Its ok for some people to feel not as excited as others about the potential for the democratic party. And its ok to share the blame, God knows there is enough to go around

  • What are YOU doing about it?

Nothing. I fought my fight for years. I’m done.

This is a dumb situation caused by years of stupid people not understanding democracy.

    Popcorn?
