  • oh you mean a show about teenagers that takes 10 years to film isn't as fun as it used to be?

  • agreed, i long for 26 episode sci fi rather than the 10-part series en vogue these days.

  • it’s a continuation not a reboot right

  • if you’re seeing a cardiologist you’re well beyond the point of basic holistic health troubleshooting. that’s something your regular GP handles, THEN if that doesn't help they refer you to a cardiologist for heart specialized care. it would be a waste of your time and money for a cardiologist to be talking to you about anything outside their speciality. that’s the entire reason your have an appointment with them, to focus on specific issues your GP can’t handle.

If you go see a "holistic" doctor for heart problems instead of a cardiologist you're gonna have a bad time.

  • the only reason you should be taking supplements is from a direct recommendation from your doctor who can monitor the levels and have you adjust dosing accordingly. anything outside of that is more likely to do harm than good.

  • Because we fail to think of/treat things holistically

what specifically do you mean? you think doctors don't tell obese patients to eat better, exercise more, or seek psychotherapy? If so, that's nonsense, of course they do.

  • that would mean they should have less tolerance for atrocious writing.

  • wouldn’t it be crazy if they could, i dunno, add weapons in sequels?

  • because old people like atrocious writing?

  • weird. was it that much worse than the shit Jesse Pinkman was going through? dude watched his girlfriend die, had to work with the guy who murdered her, and was a slave to a drug cartel.

  • fuckin A.

  • i think you’re pretty much saying the same thing as the writer quoted. they just used “jedi” for brevity.

  • that's not what the MCU did. MCU plots were drawn from decades of comic book content, adapted relatively faithfully, and orchestrated buy a guy who was passionate about comics. If star wars did that (with extended universe books) it would be in a much different place right now.

But no, they said fuck all that, we're gonna do our own thing haphazardly planned between 2 directors with wildly different visions for the plot, whilst peppered with regurgitated scenes from the original trilogy.

  • synology also did this recently. shit should be illegal.

    1. get whatever TV you want
    2. never connect it to your network
    3. go through its settings to opt out of all the bullshit like data collection, tracking, ads etc. google directions for your model if you can't find it.
    4. only watch media through connected devices
    5. if roku has too many ads for you, try an Apple TV which is pretty much ad free.
  • so is it an actual ER spinoff or does it just happen to share some actors?

  • that sounds fine in theory but you can't extricate money from politics. even if you enacted a perfect finace reform for all govt officials, average people tend to vote on issues that affect their finances. It's always going to be about money one way or the other.

  • yes, when people colloquially say "theory" they usually mean "hypothesis".

  • you could probably even get copilot to write it!
