  • Well, not at low temperatures, stirling engines still need heat.

  • in pants

  • Bad news about woke lefty hellholes buddy

  • Does this mean steam is soon to distribute ARM Linux native builds?

  • fucked up really. They shoulda just brought bidets to the US so they could sell those too.

  • They say early 2026

  • Yes! I actually don’t host a website on my domain. Its purpose is purely for game servers I host for my friends.

  • domains are fairly inexpensive and easy to set up, and while ‘custom’ TLDs are extremely expensive (current round is hundreds of thousand of dollars per) none of those neocities TLDs are ‘custom’ TLDs. You could purchase a .observer or .works domain if you desired to. I am an individual and have my own domain. AMA.

  • You are misunderstanding how color CRTs function. See dot pitch. Using a resolution that is incorrect for your display has functionally the same result of blurriness and interference patterns on color CRTs and LCDs. The difference is that on a color CRT the effect is a product of the physical structure of the display, and not a digital scaler. You cannot use arbitrary resolutions on color CRTs as you claim.

  • Color CRTs required having three different phosphors for three different colors. This inherently put a maximum resolution dependent on the size of the repeating pattern of three phosphors. It also demanded that the used resolution be a multiple of the phosphor resolution. Much like modern LCDs. See here.

  • This is only true for monochrome CRTs

  • I mean, cheapest way I think would be to go on aliexpress and find the best price for a USB-SATA adapter and just buy a ton of them. Be careful with power consumption though, spinning up disks can be power hungry and your hub might not like it.

  • This is PCIe, not USB. Although if OP does have an unused PCIe slot they didn’t mention in the post, I do agree a second-hand LSI card is by far the most cost-effective way to connect large amounts of SATA/SAS drives. And you get much better performance than USB as a bonus!

  • Far worse at what? Wasting energy? That isn’t what the video is testing.

  • How?

    Jump
  • Linux gives users the freedom to keep using x11 :p

    • Editing a text file (I guess writing a story has that covered?)
    • Deleting a program (I did not know how to remove programs for the longest time as a kid… this was on windows, mind you. I figured just deleting the desktop icon was all it took. Oops.)
    • Changing display resolution and scale (Really just poking around the accessibility menu in general is valuable, lots of useful stuff even for someone with good vision etc.)
  • It is an automotive SSD meant for OEMs – what that means for consumers I don’t know.

  • tl;dr is it depends on the enemies

  • Looks a little high.
