  • Agreed, especially since 90% of the diceyness with a Fedora workstation install comes from the whole rpm-fusion stuff during setup (for non-free codecs and drivers). If you're there to handle that part, they should be good to go.

  • No, that's the joke. I have to roll a 12 or so to finish even a single chore

  • The Karen thing is a bit played by now, but that's alright I guess... what actually worries me is that "are you recording me?" is a phrase that's ridiculed in this context? Like no bro, if you're recording Karen, I'm on fucking Karen's side, fuck you

  • I use ZZ irl, but :wq is the meme

  • "Colon W Q!"

  • Better configurability and scripting iirc

  • Good one, although I only use it as ctrl+t or ctrl+r or within scripts

  • I ditched screen for tmux ~10 years ago and never looked back

  • btm is one of many alternatives to top. It works very well for me because it is fast and has nice usability.

I found ag more intuitive to use, and it's lightning fast. Here's a detailed comparison of features: https://beyondgrep.com/feature-comparison/

  • I prefer vifm to ranger.

Other than that it's a tough question to answer because use the command line for everyday productivity, but

    • neovim
    • neomutt
    • khal
    • khard
    • castget

rsync seems really low-level though, so let me also mention

    • btm
    • git
    • ag
    • find
  • Ich dachte schon es geht um das MettBett

  • Good on them, fuck Spotify

  • It's weird, yes, but there's no AI interaction by default, it's basically just a thing that lets you set up your favorite AI if you wish. I played around with it, found it not useful and switched it off. It's really no harm done, and if it gets some people to stick with firefox, all the better.

  • I didn't read but the formatting is 🔥

  • Whats this from? Looks like a thing I would enjoy

  • Yes, they are very recognizable and the mushrooms in your photo are almost certainly K. mutabilis.

However, Galerina marginata can look very similar under certain circumstances, which is why harvesting and consuming K. mutabilis is best left to experts. These species have been known to grow on the same substrate right next to each other which is why you should ID each mushroom individually.

Personally, I think can tell the difference quite confidently and I still don't harvest K. mutabilis. (I'm still waiting to find G. marginata a few more times and get to know them better.)

  • Beautiful! These look like Kuehneromyces mutabilis to me (but beware deadly poisonous lookalikes!)

  • Sehr guter Post!

  • Looks like young Amanita rubescens / novinupta to me. Delicious if true!

This is not an ID of course, there are deadly poisonous mushrooms that look similar.
