  • I mean, the main problem is all they're trying to do is offset what they're doing... so they can continue doing it. Most companies aren't looking to find a solution, just a band-aid until someone else fixes the problem for them.

Which isn't going to happen, cause it's not "economically feasible".

  • I've never been a fan of NTR...

  • "Those civilians were asking for it, dressing like terrorists-tarts and all..."

  • Seems pretty clear from Grace's statements that he's the one objectifying these women.

Seems to me he needs to take a long look at his own thoughts and reorder them before demanding others accede to his demands.

  • Your numbers seem to indicated that it's right around double the width of its thinnest point at it's thickest.

  • Money itself doesn't bring happiness, though, it's just one way of removing roadblocks to happiness.

A person suffering emotional distress and depression won't suddenly be cured when handed a sack of money. Especially if the distress and depression isn't financially motivated.

Our society is particularly monetarily motivated, so a lot of barriers in life are financial. But they are not all the barriers to happiness that exist.

  • At its thinnest, yes.

  • Assuning thats normally for hotels and such, not as easily, no. AirBnB's specific purpose is to remove barriers of entry for hosting people in your property. Initially that meant renting one of your rooms to a traveler on the cheap. Now it means companies that would otherwise have to jump through tons of regulatory hoops to put their properties on booking sites.

Not to mention... even if its the same, then its the same and still not a useful service, yeah? It's just another booking service. Which, coincidentally, mostly extracts fees.

  • Yes, but hiring someone who's good at making for-profit "services" successful generally means you want your product to be for-profit.

And as you say, successful for-profit companies are often menaces.

  • Giving an avenue for rich development companies to snatch up properties they can short-term rent to rich travelers is a useful service?

  • Someone's never seen a parking meter...

  • They're probably referencing someone else's words. Journalism generally requires sources otherwise you risk libel.

Generally if you see quotes in journalism, it's not the sarcastic use you often see on social media. It's more of a legal safeguard.

  • I forking love it too.

  • I do.

  • What if you're towed out of the environment?

  • Is it obvious he hates them? Hasn't he been vocally very supportive up until basically election season started? Even for several months while the IDF had been bombing civilians and killing non-combatants indiscriminately he did little more than tell Bibo that he had to be a bit more discrete about his mass-murder while giving them the means to do so.

Words are just that, words. His actions say he supports Israel 100%.

  • "I hate when services actually tell people about new features they're offering"

Pushing people to use it (no I'm not going to buy youtube TV or whatever its called, stop asking youtube) is one thing, but simply proffered the option is relatively benign.

  • No no no, that's X-treme. Totally different thing.

  • Wernstrom...
