I just finished my associates in something called "industrial maintenance." A degree that is a little bit of electrical, HVAC, Circuits, & machining. I have not been accepted to the 20 "entry" level jobs I found (also went to a career fair). And everywhere I look for related fields or anything people say there's too many people in the business. It's like every job field has "too many people"
I turned legal drinking age this year and alcoholic drinks at bars and events is so expensive. $8-$14 for anything that isn't beer. Not enough to get a buzz for more than 10 minutes. Back to mocktails for me. I also am extremely socially awkward and don't know how to order so maybe that's got something to do with it

I see it. Wednesday night. 10-20 church busses lined top to bottom with elderly church goers all dressed head to toe. Busses pack the front of Walmart, taking as much pedestrian space as possible. They descend, 5, 10, 20 pouring out of busses single file, all towards the carts. A cart for each family member. Heads of the family form packs leading the charge to the produce aisle, lettuce, spring mix, strawberries, blueberries. A dropped watermelon rolls, crushed under 100s dress shoes. As they scout, prod and overrun the other isles many late night shoppers are either crushed by the wave or pushed ashore. By the time a manager notices the line of dirty, stoic shoppers, carts filled over the top with items. He calls the police but by the time they arrive, all the buses are spirited away. Parking lot littered by carts. Shelves empty, unlikely to be restocked in such hard times. And the mystery never to be solved

I think more liberals need to be blamed for being non voters than any leftist. Afterall we're not achieving anything by blaming and there were 8 million people who voted for Biden who decided not to show up for Harris. That's more than everybody using lemmy so there's really no reason to continue this blame game.

It's these fucking organizers ISTG, I haven't seen anything serious planned except a protest at a park every 3 months. We saw how many people showed up to no kings yet the organizers behind no kings cannot be bothered to call for a strike or more frequent protests.
