  • Ok, no one will ever believe me and that's ok, but when I was a wee lad I took a trip up north to Tennessee (lol) and I swear on everything in this bush by a tree I saw two golden little beetles similar to that. A lot smaller but yea they were just... right there, it felt special but I really had no idea, still dont really. I thought someone had spray painted them or something, they were so shiny.

  • The overwhelming majority of the symbols they counted as hate speech were Pepe. They are cherry picking data and running with it. Racist shit is a problem on steam but they're blowing this way out of proportion.

  • Do what you can for people. It seems like you actually care and the world needs more people doing great things in the world like you're capable of. And most of all take care of yourself.

  • Noooo shhhhh, we're not supposed to talk about HOW THE PENTAGON HAS NEVER PASSED AN AUDIT. We're supposed to be talking about the border, come on people, get it together.

  • I was particularly interested in this as well and Rogan has stated that he would have "done it for free" and he was given opportunities to do interviews at specific times and places but the kamala team didn't want to go sit down with him in Texas, for whatever reason. So he ultimately didn't do it because she wouldn't come down - just like Trump did - and talk for a few hours on his podcast.

I think it was a huge mistake to not go on it and echo your sentiment that they should get their message out to anyone who would listen. But when it comes down to it, it was both parties who had some type of predisposition to how the interview was going to shake out, which caused it to fall apart.

  • He was an incredibly smart man, and I'm sure this kept him up at night. If you haven't, I would suggest going to listen/watch some interviews with him and you might get some insight as to where his mind was at.

One thing that really stuck with me was one thing he said "Failure is an inevitability of sucess".

  • This was totally (in my humble opinion) service for someone who "donated" to the new governor before he got elected. It was one of the first things he did it felt like. LA is plagued with a cliqued up, corrupt political system basically since its inception. I'm just glad that this shit got shot down further up the line. These damn Christian nationalists are a huge problem for any forward momentum that gets traction in legislation and only drag us backwards it feels like.

  • Man.. when I lived in Los Angeles. Latinos hated blacks, it surprised me - I heard some crazy shit that made me look like ಠ_ಠ

  • These people have no concept of geo politics and global trade. For example, we produce a lot of the world's soy, that's a major export, not many other countries do it on a large scale like that - so we cut the other countries some slack and tell them we won't produce this particular good so you can have a hand in the global economy. Yes having the production here would be ideal as I'm all for it, but the world is so much more than Murica and they can't see past their fucking noses.

  • Unfortunate. Seems like you got a rowdy bunch lol. If I recall right when I unleashed them on an aphid infestation I had them in there for like 2-3 hours. Idk I'd that would make a difference or not. A lot of them did peace out pretty soon after I let them loose, but a handful stayed around for a few days.

  • Did you cool them before you released them? Lowering their body temperature helps keep them arou d and on your plants to take the little fuckers out.

  • Ironically this would make shows about more interesting

  • These little fuckers will steal your shit so fast when you're hiking in the mountains.

  • Not sure about that, but there was an account of something similar in India, I believe, where there was a chemical agent involved that buzzards were extremely susceptible to and wound up killing off most, if not all of the population. This led to carcasses being left to rot and then became vectors for disease and basically led to a chain reaction of events that caused a few million people to die.

I don't know if killing off mosquitos would have quite as a profound effect as this, but there are so many things I feel like we have almost no understanding of when it comes to the natural world to say either way.

I've read in a few comments here that there are studies saying that it wouldn't have a crazy effect - if anyone could link them so I can give them a read, I would appreciate it.

  • My only problem with it is the fact that you're taking a major insect class out of the ecosystem and later on down the line it might have serious implications. There will never be enough research on the effects of it until it's too late to reverse. I hate mosquitoes (I live in Southern LA.) but I don't think this is the answer.

  • Taking over corporate phone systems... what? Care to elaborate?

  • .

  • This made me laugh more than I expected.

  • Also MK Ultra didn't help his mental stability too much.
