  • No i was more thinking that because she's become the face of planetary eco-warriorism she'll have started to internalise the concept that she has plot armor. Which isn't real in real life.

  • So when someone doesnt vote they're the problem, and when they do vote they're the problem?

How's the average person supposed to do anything?

  • Im just saying nobody with all their marbles would seriously believe it will end in anything but their own death.

  • The amount of stuff she's been involved in she definitely has main character syndrome and fully believes this'll work out well.

I don't want it to sound like im belittling the effort. Its brave as all shit and the best cause I can think of, but still.

  • Maybe it's a thing that only certain people do, like rolling your tongue. Looking at a bright light doesnt make me sneeze, and until just now I thought it was just an old wives tale, like remedies for curing hiccups. Doesn't work but widely believed.

  • Its secure enough for the average person. If your friend was a big deal, super rich or powerful and a massive target it would be easy enough to figure out.

I doubt it would be worthwhile trying to crack that particular code for the average joe.

  • Recurring theme, hard to pick the scariest, but there's a shape-shifter after me, like the liquid terminator or something. I know what it is, it thinks I know but might not be able to catch me. It tries to get close to me while I try to get away without letting on that I know. Really socially tense and my life is on the line.

Scariest one was the first time I remember having it. My dad took the dog for a big walk and drove off in the car. A couple minutes later my dad walks in the house without a car, staring eye contact at me, absolutely neutral expression, and walking slowly towards me. I ask where the dog is and he doesnt even respond, just walks back out the room and reappears immediately with the dog on the lead, also staring at me. I don't remember how that one ends, but they got more convoluted and cat-and-mousey after that. Sometimes I got away and sometimes it caught me and stabbed me up.

Now any time anyone starts acting strange around me I always pinch my nose to see if im dreaming. I haven't had that dream for about 15 years but it sticks with me.

  • Back in the day I was one of the top players on Halo. Regularly and easily beating professional players.

I'd lose easily to some talented newbies though for this business. "I just killed them so theyll have spawned at x about 2 seconds ago and the sniper spawns in about 7 seconds so they'll rush over taking that path for the cover so I can force them back with a grenade bounced around th- "why the hell are you in here this is the worst place to be!" while they just surprise murder me.

  • I'm stuck on this rock with people like that. The worst part is they speak with such confidence and authority that their opinions will carry more weight than mine in the real world.

    I despair.

  • Does Superbad count?

Its in no way a romance, but the entire adventure is fuelled by the quest to get laid.

  • Is the big joke that it actually is Unix?

  • I want to live in the timeline where a super-scientist gets sick of the attack helicopter meme and makes "attack helicopter reassignment surgery" possible and available.

  • Maybe even get Xbox gamepass on it.

Im honestly not sure why they're making a handheld Xbox after their "everything is an xbox" push. Why have just an Xbox when you can get anything else PLUS an Xbox for likely cheaper?

  • And then starve em. Tease em. Sing off key.

  • Wow mister that's a gotta threes

  • Despairing that i haven't even used it wisely to catch up on housework

  • If we're including video games im gonna say mass effect. I didn't give 2 enough of a chance because at the end of ME1 the entire known universe bands together to defeat a single big-bad ship and it's a fully annihilating battle where the good guys barely scrape by. Then thousands of the big-bads turn up at once and the credits roll. Its a devastating ending that really drives home the central themes.

Then in ME2 your guy(orgirl) just wakes up in hospital after the battle? No chance. I just couldn't get past it long enough to give it a chance. I still have them and I know I should but...

  • Season 1 of Once Upon A Time. Its OK afterwards, but an awful lot of what made the show good was wondering whether it was real or if the kids a mad fantasist. Afterwards it's watchable but it's different.
