  • You know, I would love to believe that. I really want. But if we look at election results, population surveys and other sources, then this is simply not true.

In the young population groups there are about 5% to 10% more people who care about the environment enough to actually cause a change. But that still only comes down to 30% in total in the age groups 25 to 45. The age group below 25 is almost as bad as the current old generation. They shifted back from being greens to being nazis.

So yeah. Even in the most environmentally aware generation 70% of people don't give a shit! And the dislikes on my original comment are proving me right.

  • Just FYI, at first I was like "That 74% ist a bit overexaggerated, right?". But no, you're right! Mind you, 74% of wild animals and not animal species. WTF!?

  • That could solve the societal and class issues. But I doubt it will have any positive effect on the environment. As I already said, people of all classes in general don't care about the environment as long as they would have to endure even slight discomfort while saving it.

  • Why is everyone complaining exclusively about governments and the upper class? It's not like the lower and middle class is giving any more shits!

I've heard it counless times: "You only live once." "Why should I care about the environment? I won't have any effect either way!" "Saving the environment is important, but with the current economy flying is the only viable option for my beach vacation this year" "I'm way to overworked to take the time to recycle my garbage" "I would ride my bike to work, but I'm out of form and it's just way faster to take the car.".

With some very few notable exceptions everyone is the same. Everyone cares about the environment right until the moment when saving it would require even the slightest bit of an effort.

  • Das ist faktisch falsch.

  • You still got some of that stuff left? Because I want whatever trip you're on!

  • Sometimes I wish Lemmy had awards just like Reddit. Here, take this instead: 🦭

  • Ich hasse dich. Dich und dein elendiges Zangendeutsch! Und jetzt nimm mein Hochwähli und verschwinde! 🤬😂😂

  • Bullshit!

  • There are two games in which I have spent money on cosmetics. Path of Exile and Vermintide 2 and in both of them I wasn't not even interested in the cosmetics. I just wantwd to support the developers further

  • You know, you can just turn it off, right?

  • Die Runterwählis sollten die stattdessen sagen, dass das Meme einfach nur Meh ist, weil nicht jeder sich bei der bloßen Erwähnung von KI einseucht!

  • Is use develop anyways. because main / master is for deployments only. When it comes to starting a new project, I don't give a flying horseshit of a fuck. I use whatever git sets me up with and due to terminal auto complete it's ma TAB either way. The way I experienced it, everyone with a strong preference towards either is an annoying shithat of a person who will be booted from my team the moment they start this debate.

  • "Use-after-free" refers to a security vulnerability that occurs when a program continues to use a pointer to a memory location after that memory has been freed (deallocated).

From Google's AI based on Frauenhofer Article,

  • Not to disagree with your general argument, but yes, the average German actually does speak better English than the average citizen of pretty much every single African country. But then again, the average citizen of any given African country probably speaks better English than anyone living in Brooklyn or the rural south of the US, so there's that..,

  • Honestly, and I know I'm gonna get downvoted for this again, but he makes a surprising amount of sense in a lot of topics he touches and it often seems like his responses are well thought through and quite eloquent.

And that's exactly the problem. It makes it really easy for some people to fall for his batshit crazy bullshit takes and it makes him a lot more dangerous than if he was just some crazy Maga nut.

He also addresses a lot of the struggles his predominantly young male audience experiences. Something, pretty much everyone else fails to do. And his arguments only really fall apart once you invest quite some time to look deeper into the matter.

Disregarding Asmongold as just a crazy basement dweller with dead rats in his house might be easy but it's severely underestimating the danger that this man poses if we don't find ways to offer a better save space for his target audience. Although, Dr. K. is doing god's work here!

  • I'd have to go with Morgan Freeman here. That man has literally been god. And he builds some pretty nice gadgets for Batman
