i HATE when i have to connect to other discords for that purpose. finding information on discord is the worse of all possible outcomes. if i am running into trouble i much prefer a searchable forum. as for different friend groups, i think team speak has the ability to save multiple friend groups servers.
i notice people not mentioning team speak 6. when our discord group were planning everything team speak 6 seemed to be the winner. it’s not free, but if i am hosting it with a license and have more control over the experience, then its not that big of a deal. from what i gather team speak 6 has better faster audio, and a better screen share for gaming. but we only just started poking around at options atm.
yea, but with the video streaming team speak seems better equipped for gameing, at the cost of the federated capability of martix, but i am not sure what these benefits would be
i mean… i will pay the license for it, AND i have to self host it, so they have a monetary scheme that will delay the need for enshitification. but it’s 5$ or something, and reportedly has better audio quality, faster transfer rates, and lower overhead then discord. and because i am hosting it, i will have complete control over it and its white list

because the ‘actors’ could not be verified they were of appropriate age, or if they had consented to being in mass distributed pronography. it was a needed change, which is why i think putting restriction on the access to porn is a bad idea, because only the closest thing to reputable sites will honor the demand, leaving only the skuzziest of options available
