  • It's easy to imagine this idea being implemented in a sensible way, but in the United States I can only seeing this being yet another front in the war against owning your own computer and deciding what it does and does not run.

  • Isn't this just how coconuts spread? Floating their seeds across the ocean?

  • Yes

    Jump
  • hit her own face with a hammer

is... this something the podcast guy did?

  • nobody is tacky when Trump is in the room

  • Literally everything Trump is doing was predicted by left-wing criticism of Bush policies! He set so much of this in motion, quit deifying just because he's not tacky!

  • Claude also “deliberately directed competitors to expensive suppliers,” only to deny it ever did, several simulated months later. [emphasis mine]

This isn't even a real experiment! It's running in a sandboxed spreadsheet, a glorified text-adventure game!

  • there's actually more lore in the movie than there is in the game

definitely did not need to be two hours. There's probably an excellent 60 or even 40 min film in there, if you let a good enough editor at it

  • You're a landlord now! You get to collect a part of the profit of the wheel-shop with none of the managerial work! Why are you trying to dictate terms? Take the W, dude

I swear even fictional bourgeoisie can't just leave well enough alone

  • The court, however, kept the ban in place pending another hearing while the government prepares its appeal. It remains a criminal offence to be a member of, or support, Palestine Action.

So the UK government gets their humanitarian sounding headline, and they still get to arrest protesters. How nice for them.

  • I assume Rubio is pissed about this, because the Caribbean will be without a carrier strike group with which to raid Venezuelan oil and won't be able to prevent Russian oil from reaching Cuba

I wouldn't discount the possibility that this is among the reasons why they're moving the carrier. For as much as Rubio and leadership are ideologically blinkered, the pentagon itself selects for careerists and a more Realpolitik approach. Can't have an international incident between nuclear armed states if one of them isn't there to notice the other breaking their embargo.

  • He did an interview with the Second Wind guys (the youtube channel Yahtzee moved to after The Escapist imploded). The two takeaways I got from it was pro-labor and steeped in early internet culture.

  • If I gave a hoot about those "bet on anything" apps, I might try and run a betting pool on how long it takes for the discord ID database to get hacked and leaked.

  • did you mean genz for the last part?

  • Sure, but if he actually improves conditions for New York renters, then quibbling over language is a secondary concern.

  • Reddit banned the account. Can't tell if its for the users own good or because they don't want them becoming a local celebrity over it.

  • The external pressure and the internal crisis are too much

    ok Gordon Chang

  • I like the mirror universe episodes, where the camp and the horny gets ramped up to 11 and the suits are less likely to tell them off for being gay on screen

  • The team successfully implemented [device-independent quantum key distribution] over 11 kilometers of fiber, extending the attainable distance approximately 3,000 times beyond previous results. They also confirmed the feasibility of generating secure keys over a distance of 100 kilometers, surpassing the prior international record by more than two orders of magnitude.
