I work in corporate Audio Video, and program in all the main AV languages. I specialize in AMX / Netlinx, but do Crestron, Extron, and various DSP programming as well.
Tie it all back to web applications where I primarily use PHP.

My brother built his own car, someone from the state had to come out, certify it, and put the VIN stamp on it. Had to have a roll bar, seat belts, and pass modern emissions standards.
For a Willy's jeep, the best thing you could do is find a roached out one and build it up from scratch. Like a firearm, there are just some key components that have to remain original. The frame and VIN might be all you actually need, and since it's vintage, you'd only have to pass the safety and emissions standards of that era.
Pulled over on the highway in Chicago. This just when phones started being hot spots, and I got an emergency service call about a software glitch, had to write and upload a fix from my car.
Was at multiple events through out the day in burbs north of Chicago. Nothing but relaxed peaceful people waving signs and honking horns.
