  • No, just the pilot. It'll be a while before new episodes come through

I've just been continually copying the post before, but youre right, the spoiler tag is pretty redundant by now. I'll have to go back through and clean that out

  • sigh yeah... get used to that feeling.

the show is notoriously hard to follow on just a casual watching. it's kinda made for the medium of having several months between episodes for the fandom to comb through and dissect every frame, and to that end it's good (though not perfect). but that comes at the cost of not really knowing if you dont follow closely. a lotta people just watched as "i have no idea what's going on, but it looks awesome". rewatching will help though

as much i hate fandom wiki links, i think the articles of the episodes is probably the best source to review for general information. the general plot section should be okay, but dont scroll all the way down to trivia to avoid spoilers. and obviously dont follow links to like the characters page

if you have any specific questions, i'm happy to do my best to answer, too :)

    Robot Fight (MoringMark)

  • My initial reaction:

  • My money is on the mystery background mannequin (who might be a return of a past character - which means Kaufmo or Ribbit because I doubt that would be Queenie's voice and no other past characters have been named)

  • I can't believe they got Fitzy (Allanah Fitzgerald, VA of Cyn (Murder Drones) and Mel (Gaslight District)) in this, just to ONLY voice the pie goblin!

  • I don't know if this counts as canon, but the idea that Tessa is still conscious somewhere in that meat-suit and fully aware of everything "she" is doing is absolutely horrifying

Meanwhile Cyn just dancing through it all

  • Pretty Pretty Please I Don't Want to be a Magical Girl - Youtube indie animation pilot does a similar thing

As the title implies, its about a Magical Girl™️ (think like Sailor Moon-type thing) who's really over it and does not want to be a magical girl. So, despite having magical powers, ...

"But like, what even is a star beam, you know? Now a lead pipe to the shins? [sounds of pain] That's just reliable, baby."

  • The Amazing Digital Circus

Another suggestion box adventure, this time from Bubble! Caine throws a fff---ing beach party! Can't wait to see how it gets a lot more dark and a lot more intense on a bright sunny day at the beach Gangle's comedy mask is broken before they even get to the beach again :(

I wish they made Kinger was incredibly buff like in the fangame

Jax is not participating again, not even in beach attire

TADC EPISODE 7 DROPS DECEMBER 12!

Going frame-by-frame, there was some actual show footage in the Ep 8 preview, but it was blurred to hell and back. I guess we'll have to find out on March 20th, 2026!

I think this is the earliest we have gotten an exact date, I wonder how things are behind the scenes to come up with that

Episodes 5-7 will drop simultaneously on Netflix on December 12th. No mention of the rumored difficulties between Glitch and Netflix, only that "[they] found out that people just prefer watching things in batches over on Netflix"

    Knights of Guinevere

As expected, it isnt greenlit yet, buy merch at kog.store lol. Nothing new announced, just appreciation for the support so far

    Murder Drones

Maaaaaaaan they got me hyped for a Season 2 :(((

I'm absolutely looking forward to the Murder Drones x The Living Tombstone music video in one week on October 17, just not as much as I was expecting with all that post-finale original animation on my screen. That's going to be a good early birthday present

And less than 1 week until the Murder Drones Official Graphic Novel from OniPress closes on Kickstarter on October 14

    The Gaslight District

Pre-production is deep under way. They're really emphasizing this one's gonna have a slower release cadence as they really focus on making it as beautiful as possible. I support that!

No timeframe for release yet, still focusing on finishing TADC first

    Lackadaisy (‽)

Not that unexpected as they've already announced working with Glitch's FinalFinal_Project for merch, but still quite unexpected as Season 1 has already been in the works for a while under Iron Circus Animation

This is just a partnership under their new "Glitch Presents" brand, only co-producing the show. They emphasize it's still being made by the same core crew and VAs who did the original pilot and shorts -- Hazbin callout lol?

They're also joined by Olan Rogers, who created Final Space, which was notably canned as a tax-writeoff in the Warner-Discovery merger, and also his own indie pilot, Godspeed

Still deep in production, with no release date yet

Glitch Presents is their new banner for shows they support without fully creating and funding themselves. Notably, Glitch Presents shows may be exclusive to streaming services, not released for free on YouTube. Glitch Originals aren't changing though

    Glitch meta / my opinions

It's getting harder and harder to call Glitch truly indie now. Not all in a bad way, their production quality is amazing and it's nice they're supporting other projects.

But, not all in a good way, either. So far it seems like Lackadaisy is still the only other project they're working with, and that's still a big one imo—I'd put it third behind Glitch and Spindle Horse (Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel). There's a LOT of much smaller aspiring pilots and shows too.

Over a year after it's initial announcement, Lackadaisy is still the only non-Glitch original show listed on FinalFinal_Project's website, and now that officially has the Glitch logo on it too.

I'm also worried about the trend of their announcement videos. The first GlitchX in 2023 was a FOUR AND A HALF HOUR livestream of panels not just with Glitch properties, but several other indie creators.

In 2024, it was cut down to just one hour of pre-recorded content, but still very heavily featured other indie shows, even more so than the original.

Now, in 2025, it's been completely replaced by "Glitch Direct", a 13-minute video just talking about their own shows.

This feels like a very corporate move, and I hope this trend reverses quickly

  • They always have fun with the "attribution" of that incomplete explanation tag for new comics 😄

  • Base Android? That's ASOP. But the more common "Stock Android" for me is AOSP+GApps, which skins build on and ROMs deviate from (*generally)

  • Don't forget the --no-preserve-root either. If you leave the roots intact, the French will just grow right back

  • the difference between community <-> user are less than youd think. the hurdles are nearly identical

As a matter of fact, if you look up a Lemmy community (or *bin magazine) on i.e. Mastodon, you'll see it's literally just a user that boosts all posts/comments posted to it

I don't ActivityPub has any concept of communities, since even microblog-focused groups (like Guppe) work that way

    Edit: not really, see replies
