  • Having not touched a Mac in about twenty years, is there a visual indicator that the application is still running when there are no open windows? Steam, for example, displays an icon in the systray on Windows, or the equivalent on Linux DEs, to show that it's still running even though you closed the main window. Does MacOS have an equivalent system that all its apps hook into? If it does, then that's fine. But if it doesn't, then that's a serious problem.

  • My personal example is identical twins. If they've had the same experiences, then knowing what one looks like tells you what the other looks like, but ripping the arm off of one doesn't magically rip the arm off the other.

Or when Paxton said he was certain Texas would have gone to Biden in 2020 if he hadn't prevented mail in ballots from being sent to certain counties? Republicans are actively preventing people from voting because they can't win if everyone votes.

    Uh, Vulcans have always been illogical and irrational. This is partially because the writers tend to be bad at basic logic, but Trek has a looong history of Vulcans being pompous, racist assholes that are irrationally obsessed with tradition to the point they made it a de facto religion.

    They are usually stone faced while they do it, though.

  • They also tend to spell out the way the character deceived you without lying anyway, so just flat out having a character tell you that another character lied wouldn't be weird.

  • What bugs me is that when you realize how incredibly reluctant game writers are to have a character just flat out lie to you, you can see this coming really early on the first run. They'll omit information or sidestep questions, but they won't just fucking lie when it would make sense for them to do so.
