I’ve had a similar “DM’s unexamined biases” experience with treating certain races as inherently deserving of slaughter. Like, my first campaign ever was run with a goblin sorcerer who I got really close with. “There’s a war where one side is all goblins” is not a clear cut plot hook to get us to join the opposition by itself.
Am I correctly understanding that these locks are some sort of failsafe on dangerous machinery and that there are procedures and specific reasons for unlocking them properly?
It’s the bullshit Death Note line about the random deaths lowering crime by 90% or whatever. Meanwhile, we know that the death penalty is not an effective deterrent to crime.
So it’s a power play. All hands meeting with a captive audience because you’re under new management. Reminds me of when I was bootstrapping our union (failed attempt #2 btw)
There’s an obsessive side to me that this appeals to. Just spend a year or two of your life grinding on a passion project with people you get really close with. I’ve had projects where I barely slept and worked for 12 hour days and slept in odd places. It’s easy to romanticize that, especially when you’re young and have no kids.
…but for AI slop? Go make a failed video game or something. I ain’t sleeping in a tent just to prooompt all day
Gotta love crowdkillers
