  • On my desktop, I have about 200GB free, which is about 10%, which feels like the bare minimum, and the only reason I haven't upgraded yet is that there's some large directories I can archive should it be necessary.

On my server, I recently was down to about 500GB free, also about 10%, which made me add more drives.

    So it's all relative.

  • I do get it, and I could have phrased it differently. My point mostly is, it is often painted as an insurmountable problem for adoption, and while that might be true for a lot of users, there's also a large number of user for who it isn't.

Also, for me personally, I'd rather switch banks than use a phone with a stock rom, but I know most people don't view things that way.

  • I know several banks who's apps don't need Google Attestation. I would also not use a bank that forces an app as the main point of contact as my main one. A lot of banks around here offer a tan-device as an alternative. There's also a lot of transport associations that offer nationally valid chip-cards.

I do see why it's a problem, but I also don't think that one should let such services dictate their choice of mobile device. I do know that I come from a privileged position, living in a country where I have options.

  • I honestly don't get why everyone is so hung up on banking apps. I run Graphene, and my bank's app actually does work, but I wouldn't really have a problem if it didn't. They have a website that is pretty usable, and I don't need an app to use my payment cards.

  • Wäre im Zweifel interessiert. 25, nb, Großstadt. Passe sonst auf das beschriebene Profil.

Gerne hier via DM anschreiben, dann kann man einen Termin ausmachen.

  • As a German - a lot of our neighbours have significantly better rail. For some of them, delayed trains from Germany are a large cause of delay.

I like our train system, and use it a lot, but there is very significant room for improvement. According to the current statistic, 40% of long distance trains are late.

A lot of problems come from the half-aborted privatisation. The railway was turned into a public company, but the stock was never sold, so it's owned by the state, but still a AG (plc?) that tries to run a profit.

  • Anti-Clickbait. Much more likely to actually make me click, though.

  • Sure, Graphene OS tries it's best to limit Apps, but if you don't trust an App, you just shouldn't run it, no matter the OS.

  • I worked as a bike courier in my first semester, for a bit. Drove past there so many times.

  • Hackerbrücke? Anyway, nice photo.

  • I still find them preferable. Less "sponsored" stuff, etc. More tags, etc. for search.

  • They themselves have often been criticised for potentially producing their product in occupied territory, but I don't think there is any direct evidence they're influencing the ebu.

The ebu themselves say there isn't any connection between Israeli participation and the sponsorship. At the same time, a sponsor probably has some amount of influence, and the ebu might try to avoid doing something that might not jive with their main sponsor without direct pressure.

In the end, it's all speculation, though.

  • I don't think I'm saying much that hasn't already been said better, but I don't wanna fuck off without replying.

Communism doesn't have to mean that everyone always has and gets exactly the same.

Also, at the moment, the factory is being owned by someone, or many people, who likely don't labour much at all. Is that preferable to the possibility of someone getting unfairly rewarded for too little labour? If the factory isn't state-owned but directly worker-owned, what stops the other workers from voting out a colleague who they feel is taking advantage of them?

Does you're out mean out in the streets, starving? Does meritocracy mean that people who don't sell enough of their life-time don't deserve food, housing?

What if the person isn't lazy, but disabled? Where is the border between lazyness and something like adhd?

Lol, looking back im kinda overdoing it with the questions, but I just typed down what occurred to me while reading.

  • What do you disagree with in communist ideology? Kinda curious.

  • That'd be nice, but they, maroccanoil, have been main sponsor for the last five years, and are confirmed to again be this year. Dunno what the chances are of that changing at this point.

Also - I'm pretty sure they had corporate sponsors 10 years ago. They aren't shown in some countries broadcasts, but they've been there for some time.

  • If I remember correctly, it's a European Broadcasting Union thing, and they're in cause there used to be a British colony there.

  • An Israeli company has been the main sponsor the past few years.

  • Nice, might go back to it then.

  • It makes them less worthwhile. But we can definitely agree that jellyfin's security issues are also bad, and should be fixed.

  • On the one hand, maybe. On the other hand, the point here was more that the centralised design of Plex that necessitates an online account which might hold some private data makes such issues much worse, not that jellyfin's issued should not be fixed.
