  • They also had a bit of a scandal around alleged sexual assault, and coersion of sex from fans semi-recently. Big in German media, probably less so internationally. Great shows, but I'm not willing to give them any more money.

  • My wallet (Secrid). Bought mine in person at a random retailer, and never registered it, though.

  • Somehow, I feel called out.

  • I mean, it was parked in a driveway and looked pretty shiny, so I'd assume it's the boss's company car. I do get that even IT people need to move non-digital stuff sometimes, but I've only ever seen them do it in vans around here. But who knows.

  • I recently saw one with the logo of an IT contractor.

  • Most mainline Linux distro work pretty seamlessly with secureboot these days.

  • Depends on the model, and the manufacturers would certainly prefer you replaced it, but I've privately fixed a few phones for friends/family. Fucked up and broke the first one, but the ones after are pretty much all still running without issue.

  • Sure, it's from Germany, though. Shipping might be a problem, depending on your location.

If you look for used or refurbished ThinkCentres, Optiplexes, and whatever-hp-calls-theirs, there's usually some cheap ones, at least around here.

  • I just bought a used Ryzen 3 ThinkCentre as a media centre PC for 66€. Feel like the pi has a hard time competing both on price and performance in that field.

  • Dunno where you are, but ChariTea has a new sugar free mate. Mate based drinks in general tend to be at least less sweet than that energy drink stuff.

I personally usually just make coffee at home and take it with me, but I recognise that doesn't work for everyone.

  • If I remember correctly, the reason for all this was that his other kids really aren't on board with daddy's political opinions, and would be able to overrule their brother. We'll see how it turns out.

  • My mother's a humanist, my father was a hedonist. I never grew up with any religion or spirituality, and speaking with people that did, I feel that wasn't a bad thing.

  • Banks seem to be hit or miss, happy that mine works. Would rather switch Banks than use a stock Rom, though.

All the Uber stuff works in Browser, both eats and their fake taxi stuff.

Not having a subtle reminder to eat at McDonald's is probably better for you.

Honestly, if your app could be a website, and includes services not on your website, fuck you, I'm gonna go to the competition.

  • I mean, yeah. I doubt they'd outright lie about Adams making that statement, but neither that rag, nor the person they're quoting, are overly trustworthy.

  • For me, it only ever made the normal plonk, nothing fancy and custom.

  • They had at least two or three halfway sensible naming schemes, which they then proceeded to abandon after like one generation.

I fault marketing department at the chipmakers that are trying to somehow justify their existence.

  • Also, don't tell anyone you know that, or you're not gonna be on any jury.

  • I'd argue Threema. The server code isn't open source, but the apps are auditable. You can use it without any other identifiers (phone number, email are optional). It comes from a private company, but they have had a good track record.

Edit: They also have a version on F-Droid, without proprietary components, that uses their own push protocol instead of Google's.
