  • I don't get too emotional at games, but I do at music.... and even though I was laughing my ass off with joy at Metal Gear Solid 2, I cried at the ending because I just enjoyed it so much and the music hit me in the feels.

    Other than that... not really. I had the most emotional investment in a game with the Mass Effect series, but by the end of 3, I was kinda checked-out when everyone was getting offed. I was already over it.

  • There are a lot of free VPNs with developers from China, mostly with a subsidiary in Singapore or Hongkong. I wouldn't like funneling my data to CCP but most people wouldn't even notice.

    Someone else being a dumbass doesn't make my informed VPN decision worse.

  • ...In a way yes, in a way no. A phone that's SMS and Calls only has a few advantages. One is that other apps can't spy on SMS because there aren't other apps to spy on the SMS. The SMS vulnerabilities en-route still exist, sure, but you're no longer being monitored by Apple, Google or anyone else by default.

    Sure, the ideal situation is for all of them to get on Signal, XMPP, Briar, SimpleX... fucking roll a D20. They're also more about it due to screen-on time than privacy. I don't think they're of any belief that privacy is even attainable.

  • The way to reset the error codes on a Crown PC4500 pallet jack is to scroll to service using the onboard menu and enter the four digit password, select Events, and go to 3.2, 3.2.1 if you're on older firmware and hit enter.

    There are 8 bolts in the stock wheel of an SP3500. 4 holding the motor down, 5 holding the dash on and four holding the top two light panels, two on each side and a fan on the right. Every bolt holding the frame of the panel is 9/16in and is held on with a lockwasher.
