  • Slightly less good (software wise) but so much worth the money IMO. I'd avoid like the i96(IIRC. If no video output well I couldn't setup ssh etc. That was some time ago so take the information with a grain of salt).

It's a little more difficult space to navigate but worth it if you know why you want one for sure.

  • What will the Russians buy the btc with, rubles?

  • I'm all for protests and governments having the obligation to acknowledge them (so forward them to popular vote or political votes), except like the facho russian paid ones at the Poland/Ukraine border.

  • Ja gå hem till ryssland.

  • Har du lärt dej ett nytt ord?

  • Kryp tillbaks under stenen du kom från.

Eller lär dej att världen inte är svart-vit.

  • Thanks for the feedback!

I had some massive problems with the first 0.19, which eventually was fixed but 0.19.3 just was so slow (and only had "minor fixes" IIRC) so after the painful time of the broken federation I reverted to 0.19.2 just because it "worked". Maybe I should try the 0.19.3 again.

I do have a beefy PC with a good connection and it runs 24/24 so I'll definitely try out the latest version (again).

    Cheers

  • Yep but I don't really think small instances work well just yet.

I have a powerful PC (enough RAM, cores, nvme etc on a 1Gb line, 700Mb up) and it's incredibly slow most of the time, because I guess, there are not many users forcing the federation.

I'm working on some band-aid scripts to half-fix that until Lemmy catches up, but just so you know it's not perfect for small communities yet it seems.

  • Ta din medicin.

  • If it should be done say only twice a day, then your way would be completely cumbersome.

  • I imagine open source boot software being better than closed source (a real no brainer) but whats the difficulties with the open one? I'm not very versed in those very low level things.

  • Ja det var på tiden!

    Yay!

  • Splurged some crazy money on a Crucial MX 256GB, 320€ IIRC, I still think about it sometimes but god what an upgrade :-)

After years as my boot device it spent running lots of familys PCs witbout a hiccup, now it's retired as a small extra ssd in a linux box.

I remember there were single cells, double now triple and quadruple, and back in the day single wete considered the best, IDK what's the story today.

  • Thank you!

  • This is a great explanation! I have struggled so much (and feared messing the fstab up) now I will be able to change my clunky HD where my home lives 😊 thanks!

  • 10minute mails are free, just cut it up.

  • Interesting, any info somewhere on how to set up some of those auto mod bots?

I mean if we use the same filters these spams are easily recognised.
