  • Honestly, big shoutout to Microsoft for the strong push to get me in Linux's loving embrace.

Double shoutout to them for making it very easy to not even considering to come back.

  • What is this dirty language!?

Next time please say "Fuck g**gle" Thank you

  • OnePlus still has the OEM Unlock option natively. It could be them.

  • Phones may come without a Phone in the future, if OEMs have their way

    Clearly their ultimate goal

  • I dare them to do it on my Pop OS! computers! I don't even run a windows VM anymore.

It feels liberating! No more Stockholm syndrome ✌️

  • As opposed to what your comment implies, the drivetrain (EV or ICE) has nothing to do with cars spying on you. You should not blame the technology itself because shady car companies spying on your internet connected car. Most of them are well known ICE car brands that do the spying (GM, Volkswagen for instance)

Yes, most new ICE cars are Internet connected now, not just EVs.

Blame those greedy corporations, not the technology.

  • Hackers? I heard it wasn't even password protected! The data bucket was publicly available! Gross negligence from Tea devs if you ask me.

  • Don't get me wrong, I have no problem blaming both Apple and Microsoft. Corporations are not my friends 😁

  • tldr: if Apple does something bad, blame Microsoft?

  • To top up your comment, you can get the permissions required for each extension in Firefox for Android. Extension Manager --> click the extension --> Permissions

In the case of this specific extension, it requires access to the data of only 3 domains :

Many other extensions are far worst in regards to permissions that this one.

It is a good habit to check what are the permissions required before using any extension or phone apps for that matter.

    Thanks for the reminder!

  • Let's be real, any VW cars with a head unit with maps capabilities and a SIM card are certainly tracked down. Why would it be limited to electric drivetrain cars only? There's no GPS in the motors... It's in the head unit

  • There's probably a way to spoof the Android OS right?

  • 2.5 decillion

  • I know it's hard to believe but there are people on the Internet who are not living in the USA.

I know right?! But I swear it's true.

  • I see you point and I agree. It's not all black and white.

I don't pretend to know the solution to this dilemma but hopefully this whole sad situation might trigger the conversation towards one.

  • Penguinz0 just released a video about it and I have to admit that the character.ai AI are disturbingly convincing. They keep arguing they are real persons and, for vulnerable peole, you can get lost.

Definitely some gross negligence from the AI platform here in my honest opinion. It's easy to put some guardrails when you make a chatbot, but they didn't.

Btw, you don't know what the parents did and did not to help their son. I don't know either. So it's better to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Edit: I'm not an American and I would never understand why anyone would own guns.
