  • Am I missing something? What does this have to do with cyber security?

  • Oh that aspect was, other aspects were less bad; when I was a teenager, I kept asking my mum if I could have the basement for a hangout spot/workshop, she eventually let me.

When I started down there I was just a tad bit shorter than the doorways, by the time I left, I was having to crouch when I stood under the regularly ceilings.

Some aspects were good; it let me develop a love for taking things apart and rebuilding them, designing and building things from scratch, working with friends on projects, etc.

Some aspects were less than optimal; I had a 3d printer running almost 24/7 down there, creating a lot of nasty dust + I used to smoke back then, so the air quality of the space was terrible.

The big mistake was likely sleeping down there, being in that environment basically 24/7 was certainly unhealthy.

  • As someone who was significantly more sedentary, and lived in a environment where I couldn't stand up straight for a few years, yeah, I was getting issues from this around 16+, late 20's now and I have scoliosis and an asymmetry of my thorax...

    Robot backs when?

  • Did you take your ADHD meds while you were ill?

I often get that if I take my ADHD meds when I'm sick; I'm either thinking of loads of different things and then eventually get motivated to attempt something with mixed results, or I don't take my ADHD med and have a rest/relax day where I go I'm just gonna play a game, cosied up in bed or watch something and fall asleep

  • Yeah I think that's just upscaling, the janky letters above prohibited clearly read "DISCHARGING OF FIREARMS"

  • Yeah, it's a new leak for the same (?) aircraft, which makes this somehow even funnier

  • You ever tried to plug a usb in around the back of a computer you can't look behind?...

  • The toys that either have balls that get launched into the air, or ones that are small balls trapped in a loop for them to bat back and forth may be the kind of thing you're looking for, especially if you can ones that allow for small treats or catnip to be placed inside the balls

  • Silly suggestion for testing how loud it is externally; put the headphones on your leg/thigh and test them, it should be a reasonable approximation of your head.

Also forgive my ignorance, but why are you printing this as straight pieces that require gluing as opposed to printing it as a solid circle?

  • Ok, I feel like this is a relevant enough post to say; this comic gives the vibe of a Serial Experiments Lain x Adventure Time blend, and I adore that.

I think the Adventure Time aspect is most obvious with the post apocalyptic setting, set in a barren wasteland with the rotting surviving remnants of the past society. The art style is reminiscent with it's beautiful use of vibrant, monotone colours. Not to mention animal guides/side kicks.

Meanwhile the Serial Experiments Lain aspect is a bit harder to describe, but mostly lays with the Techno-surrealist, abstract, paranoid and overall confusing but intriguing nature of the work, not to mention the non-linear storytelling

They all share an odd dreamlike quality

  • It creates an few different odd possibilities though, in the UK you can be married before 18, let's say an 18 year old wife and her 17 year old husband went on their honeymoon to Dubai, would they legally be allowed to consummate their marriage?

    Would Dubai recognise their marriage?

  • Dart case

    Jump
  • If you ever printed a 2nd iteration, you could created a space for an oring to sit for each dart so it gets lightly held in place by friction

  • Was there any spyware/telemetry found in red star OS?

I remember a good few years back finding a leaked image for it and having some fun with it ended up throwing it on an open Gdrive link, then a few years later someone leaked a more up to date version that tried to look like macOS.

  • 30mg daily with an optional booster of 5mg instant release has been the sweet spot for me.

Over the span of like 6 years I started on 30mg, went down to 20mg for a while until a bit of a tolerance kicked in then back up to 30mg, eventually got the 5mg booster which I normally only take a 1/4 of a pill for the actual boost I need without effecting my sleep too much, but even then if I take the booster for a week I'll certainly start to feel drained, so it's an option not a requirement for me.

I imagine you're probably going to be better off feeling a little bit of the randomness associated with you being on the lower dose. The medicine is supposed to help you function a bit more like a regular person, not a robot. Humans have got randomness/noise in their thoughts, we aren't supposed to be robots.

I've had what you're experiencing but on methylphenidate; it doesn't really go away until you lower the dose or stop.

Other things that can impact the robot feeling is excessive caffeine before bed, and nicotine usage.

I think if you're asking this question; you already know that you want to go back down and just need some confirmation that it's a good idea 👍

  • Jesus H. Christ, I immediately thought oh it's not going to be as bad as it sounds, the. The video does genuinely show it being as bad and worse than it sounds.

I'm autistic, when I get particularly distressed, I'll end up impulsively hitting my head against walls or with my fist. Generally that behaviour is worse when left alone after getting into that state to begin with. By leaving these kids to actively self harm by isolating them, likely has worsened their situations, and probably has caused the epilepsy in the one child to become apparent.

My partner is a teaching assistant at a mainstream school which takes on a huge number of SEN children, mostly autistic, about 5 with down syndrome, and recently a lot who were fostered. They would never in a million years think that anything like what's shown in the video is acceptable, it's genuinely heartbreaking that this has occured, let alone that noone is being held accountable for this abuse.

There's got to be so many better ways of helping these kids when they're distressed instead of just throwing them into what is effectively a padded cell.

  • Ok, not to pile on, but what the heck do you mean by "pantheon" in this context?

And do you speak/use any other languages that have led you to using this unique form of capitalisation?

  • Tbh if they didn't learn from last time (vita) it deserves to fail if they're not including a usable microSD card slot. We're at a point where the cat is out of the bag even for the average consumer, when games can be 100GB+, noone will buy it if they screw about with being an overpriced console + overpriced games. The console needs to be affordable, with affordable memory and then they'll make their profit from the games.

  • I could be wrong, but I asked my chef friend why chicken would be stringy after I got a Chinese meal where it was like it, he suggested that it's overcooking them that can cause it.

With KFC I could fully believe that you've been being served chicken that was cooked that morning and had been left under the heat lamps for hours.

  • It's for the silliest reason as well, we stopped including psuedoephedrine in OTC cold meds because Theresa May government were concerned about people using it to make meth, with no evidence that people in the UK were using it to make meth...

You can still get pseudoephedrine but you have to request it at the pharmacy, as it's a pharmacy medication now.

So in reality no difference in terms of accessing it, if you really wanted to make meth, just means that most people can't get an effective decongestant when they're on their way to work...
