Nah.. Europe's countries still have their own laws so you can't just "take control of europe" like Trump took control of the US. You can't just appoint a European leader that just destroys everything the predecessor has done.
What controversy? I haven't heard about this? Can you share a link? I was planning on getting a pixel bur if some weird shit happens then I might go for a fairphone instead (and put lineage or eos on it).
It boggles my mind that half the US population voted for people who:
-wants to make everyone who is not already super rich poor
-destroy the planet with pollution
-take away everyone's freedom and rights
-destroy the economy
You sure about that? We were (EU) still doing business with Russia like a couple of years ago when it was clear they were corrupt and evil since forever.
Most politicians here have no spine and will gladly bend over as soon as they have the chance.
I love the discussions on Lemmy. They feel much more meaningfull than on reddit. Reddits top comments are always some dumbass meme or one liner. Then the people who actually have good arguments are being downvoted for being wrong (and hidden).
I also love (but perhaps that is a voyager app thing) that downvoted comments on lemmy aren't hidden by default.
No matter if someone disagrees with you or views things differently, you should always allow them to express their opinion. Sticking your head in the sand isn't good for anyone.
Yeah I agree. There has to be a bigger plan than this. In 40 years our children will see documentaties about the republicans pulling the biggest power grab ever and using idiots like Trump to actieve it. It's not Trump playing chess here, he's just a pawn. There are people behind the scènes pulling the strings.
If what currently is happening is really just throwing tantrums without having a plan then I feel sorry for how dumb most of america had become.
By giving Hungary to Russia, Russia will gain even more territory in the EU and Hungary is a strategic place for them. Yeah the nuke part was a bit over the top since if they want they can nuke anyone anyway.
If we throw out every country that has a shitty government then putin will just take the EU bit by bit. Don't forget that populism is on the rise everywhere so any EU country can then fall victim to populism and risk being thrown out. It's not about Hungary being thrown out its about setting a precedent for other to be removed.
If anything we should sanction Hungary, but removing them would just result in Russia gaining more land.
This episode was amazing. I'm loving the energy between the two characters.
