The apartheid entity bombs doctors, diplomats, journalists, schools, hospitals, refugee camps, food distribution points and the list goes on and on. There is no level of armed opposition that would be inappropriate in response. The IDF and Mossad are the number one perpetuator of terrorism in the world right now.
I salute the brave Houthis who are the only ones with the clarity and courage to stand up against them with force of arms (outside of Palestine)
Something to understand about the fediverse is that you are always a "subject" or "citizen" of your home server. They decide ultimately if you get to keep your account and continue accessing the fediverse through them. I would highly recommend choosing a server whose policies you can get behind.
Additionally, if you want to moderate communities, it is highly recommended to have your moderator account be on the same server as the community. Something about reports not federating properly or something
I'm one of the people who refuses to engage with any .world communities because my comments kept mysteriously disappearing (without any trace in the modlog) for the crime of holding Leninist views. I historically blamed PugJesus for this but this admin bot thing with JordanLund makes so much more sense (PJ is a bad faith moderator but historically their shit has shown up in the modlog)
A middlebox can't see the actual content but they know what sites you are visiting and how often if you are only using HTTPS - meaning they can also block you from accessing sites of their choosing
I have neither used it nor investigated it, just read some of the posts announcing it, and also heard about stability issues second hand. When I read the initial announcement, I remember a good handful of lib'd up features, but I do not claim that all are that way.
In general, I support additional fediverse software, but piefed has a lot of "hostile fork" vibes. Based on the dogshit moderation I have received from the boosters of piefed, I will certainly not be recommending any of its servers to anyone I know
True, but Lemmy seems to be more stable and has a longer track record. Also, many of these so-called features are the piefed developer putting their thumb on the scale for the cause of liberalism
I think the way to understand how it feels to be on the fediverse is to think of each server like a country. Each one has their own customs, laws, and communities (aka subreddits). Over time people self-select onto servers that they ideologically align with.
Ummm....what? Do you have a source for that outside of the imperial lapdog media? Also, what does that even mean?
Are you just a former Yemeni comprador who is butthurt about national liberation for dislodging you from your comfortable class position?
