  • A topic comes up and I remember that I have a bookmark about that topic and that's usually the only way I get back to it.

Occasionally I block off time, like 15 minutes, where I scroll through and delete the ones that I no longer care about. Kind of the same thing I do with emails and photos.

  • The response is the win. It means they've been heard/seen. Think of it like catcalls. They just want a reaction.

I think the single downvotes that pop up on most posts is a bot or something. I've seen people complain about it. No worries. Or maybe it's a troll. 🤷

  • Every response is like winning at a video game. They get a little brain rush that encourages them to do it more to get more/bigger responses.

  • Paper products, freezer things, and snacks mostly come from Costco about once per month or when needed.

Milk, eggs, yogurt, veggies and things that get used regularly are bought weekly.

Things that are best fresh, like salad stuff, and items needed for recipes are more frequent.

  • I'm sorry for your loss. It's so hard to lose our furry family members.

  • Upvote = thanks for sharing, but god that was hard to click.

  • I bookmark them and close them so at least they're out of sight.

  • Maybe try learning something- a language, a craft, an instrument, ... I find that working hard on something occupies enough of my brain to limit the time i spend thinking about bad or sad things.

  • This puppy killing cunt should be in prison.

  • It's only for refills, so you first have to get a doc to prescribe something.

  • I tell them about my son's in-laws who are proud 'Christians' and how my kids come over after visiting them on holidays and comment about how nice it is to be away from the racist slurs that are part of conversations there.

  • We have that guy who wanted to not poop for 3 days.

  • That's really great!

  • I love what i do and the kids and people that i work with. Administration is incompetent and has become more and more micromanaging because they don't understand that they're the problem. I've been out since October, going back in Feb, will probably quit in may at the end of the school year and do something different.

  • I'm the same. We're remodeling a house and when i see the price of an item i do hours and hours of research trying to save a few bucks, which delays everything. We began remodeling Jan 6. Could be done by now if i were less wishy washy.

  • I also talk too much, especially when I'm anxious/nervous, struggle with silence when I'm with other people, and I'm too loud. It sucks but i don't really know how to stop the nervous chatter and i can't judge what's the right volume. Appreciate your post and the responses.

  • We just sold a house after living in it for 25 years. It's where we raised our kids. Before selling i was struggling a bit. The moving out process is exhausting and makes you just want to be done. We inherited a house that needs significant work. The remodeling of that is exciting and the proceeds from our house sale make it possible, so I'm not sad about it at all. My husband likes to drive by to criticize the new owners landscaping.
