  • Thanks for pointing that out.

  • It won't allow everyone to live comfortably and happily. The resources need to be distributed and there are many, many decisions necessary to define how the resources get distributed. If we lived in an ideal world, where everyone shared the same opinion on these decisions, then we'd all already live comfortably and happily now. But we don't and as much as it sucks, we can't fix being ourselves.

  • The silence is even louder to me as it disrupts the speech.

  • For example, if you go for coffee and forget to come back to work, this child will say what was said when you were not in the hall, and will say who you should counter-attack.

Is this really not the onion?

  • I think flipping the question creates more hot takes. Except for the series with self-contained increments, most "popular" long-running franchises just need to stop. Not necessarily close the franchise completely, but just let one thread end and create a new one.

  • Some books are written or laid out with two pages in mind. What this specific e-reader unfortunately doesn't solve is the problem with double page spreads in manga (although digital versions, at least those I use, don't spread them on two pages anyway).

  • #6a4d53 - I do care about it, but rather as the color in the window gaps.

  • It seems like a lot of people are not even aware of AWS, which leads to an underestimation how badly the world is infected with Amazon.

  • Unless I can read them like a book or they personally ask me for help, I won't do anything. Some people just let the world around them think whatever it wants to think and they just keep their life, their goals and their progress to themselves. Now I'm not saying that this must be the case for your friends or that they definitely on't need your help. But they definitely don't need advice from online strangers like us as the only image of them we know is the one you painted.

  • Very unsurprising, unless your perception of the CDU is purely Merkel. And it's not even a problem, because the problem with AfD is not that there aren't enough opposing options, but that the AfD carries a wide range of "right", since the majority of them only have two major parties suitable to their opinions. Regardless how much you hate this whole range and view it as the same bullshit, it makes an impactful difference that each of them get represented individually.

  • I don't. If for a specific product the only reasonable option is Amazon and I need the product at all cost, then I get it, because such a scenario is extremely rare. Maybe in some countries or maybe for some niches it might be the default option. But I think for most people it's just their own personal illusion.

  • I'd sell an e-book about this glitch on Amazon and generate passive income!

  • Do the math yourself. It might take about 4 years to get the correct result, but the truth is worth that time!

  • "Coding" is a huge world and in my opinion in today's world the term "coder" is too abstract to mean anything in practice (other than someone who writes code among other things). What we mostly share is really just the basics. You can improve your fundamental knowledge that will help you learn, understand and navigate through the differences quicker.

But not just from field to field or job to job, but even from just one task to another task, a coding session can be totally different from another. The "actual typing of code" is just one mechanism.

If I understand you correctly and you're specifically interested in the act of typing code and understanding what it does, then maybe you might be more into coding puzzles or you could learn more about algorithm design. Else, if your goal is to see more output by coding, then progress and experience is the only way. I don't have ADHD, but I have difficulties in finishing personal coding projects, too. Coding for work definitely helped with that. Before that, the biggest improvement I found was to use more Git (/version control in general). Helped me a lot to organize and see my progress.

  • India has the "masala" genre, a blend of multiple genres; basically what comes to the mind of the average person when they think about Indian movies. I don't think they create "pleasure" for anybody. They mainly exist, because it's a low-efforts template for Indian producers to target the masses.

However once you get used to this genre and accept that there will be a few toilet breaks and tiresome tropes, you unlock the gate to some movies that are otherwise fantastic. It's quite similar to starting to watch pro wrestling or shōnen anime.

  • If there is or if there are gods, they may have filtered my issues on low priority. And after a hard-working day of turning the traffic signal green immediately, they pat themselves and call it a day.

  • This is a JoJo reference.
