  • Have you considered automated feeders with a timer set to go off everyday? I would want to automate as much as possible as a farmer, even as a fun mental exercise thing.

  • Unless you're a medical anamoly then it's highly unlikely you ever competed at a high level in your 20s and think you are in better shape at 45. Unless it was boxing and your CTE is showing

  • A for effort though

  • I've watched Pumping Iron as much as a straight man can but we both know we can't sustain that amount of growth without some PEDs

  • I'm half joking when I say decrepit but I'm definitely not able to workout 6 days a week, play 3 mid intensity basketball games back to back, or bike for 4 hours anymore. No major injuries but I feel the wear and tear a lot more than I used to. Biologically, people typically do go through a noticeable decline in performance after 30.

  • I sometimes consider taking the next day off after garbage day. Is it pretty common for people to go climb in the gym solo? I want something I can spontaneously do without having to make plans with a buddy

  • Oh for sure, I have nothing against it and weed is legal here. I'm thankful because it's partly why I was able to make 30+ an hour delivering food for a bit

  • I was in a terrible youtube rabbithole of knee replacement surgeries the other day and I've been hating our fragile corporeal vessels lately

  • I should get into climbing

  • What are you doing for your calories out?

  • I doordashed at the beginning of the pandemic for over a year. Only time I judged people was when they ordered a bunch of stuff at 2am. And even then, it wasn't really judging, more just thinking "this dude is probably high as fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu"

  • There are a lot of regional things as well as slang that aren't universal between native english speakers. Your confusion is kinda like how some new drivers can be better than veteran drivers because the information is still fresh and they haven't developed bad habits yet. Even as a native speaker, you'll sometimes be confused with terminology from other areas.

Examples would be stuff like "fanny" meaning something different in north America compared to Britain. "Cunt" is a lot less offensive in Australia than America. "Bless your heart" is slightly more insulting in the south than the rest of the states. Calling someone "buddy" is friendlier in Canada than the states etc.

  • I should stop scrolling lemmy when I'm eating

  • They're a bit expensive around me

  • That's why I included the /moisture part

  • Former trumpet gang, I just want people to think about the fact that every brass instrumentalist has to empty out a notable amount of spit/moisture from their instrument every once in a while and I hope you're gagging right now because I always do at the thought of it

  • It's the stuff I have on shelves, hanging, on tables, etc that's annoying to dust. The floor is easy to deal with comparatively.

  • The floors are the least of my worries because I spray mop it, it's the dust on shelves, plants, irregular shaped stuff that's annoying and much more time consuming to dust

  • Do you have a recommendation for a budget one?
