  • As I said to my parents when they said something similar:

Not everyone is a 0 or 6 on the Kinsey scale. Plenty of people have some amount of choice. But not everyone is a 3, either. Most people have a preference. And some people are a 0 or 6. Just because one person with “gay temptations” successfully lived as a heterosexual doesn’t mean everyone can. The world is more complicated than that.

  • 🤣 No such thing as lazy, that’s just a word we use to shame people into doing stuff they don’t feel like doing.

  • I tell people this and say, “Follow the M.”

  • Gotcha. I agree.

  • I think it was real. His level of involvement is debatable, but his writings seem to indicate he at least knew about it.

  • They want to integrate Steam with the console, from the rumors I saw. They’ve already integrated Steam into the Xbox app on PC, as I understand it.

More flexibility is a good thing. Console Game Pass and Steam on the same system? Yes please.

  • Intermittent fasting.

Like any form of weight-loss the real mechanism is a calorie deficit, but intermittent fasting makes that really easy for some people. I lost like 30lbs in six months. Takes a bit to kick in but then goes pretty quickly.

Unfortunately, losing weight is a long journey. People who are very overweight have more fat cells than others (because those cells divide when they get big enough) and those fat cells WANT to hold onto fat. And they’ll release hormones to achieve that goal. So your body will desperately be calling for you to overeat.

This is part of why weight-loss tends to be a spiky line for people. I gained back all of the IF weight I lost, and then some. Still below my highest recorded weight by a good 20lbs, but I’m just now getting back on the IF horse, hoping to make better progress this time.

  • Since when is Xbox gone? Microsoft would be silly to kill off their console, they’d lose a pretty significant chunk of Game Pass subscribers. The rumors point to a hybrid PC/console, but it’s still an Xbox.

Of course, Microsoft making foolish decisions would be nothing new.

  • I’m not sure where midband 5G falls, but it’s significantly faster than LTE with much more range than the millimeter wave 5G.

  • I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone call Bonhoeffer stupid before. Personally I wish more pastors got involved in plots to assassinate genocidal fascists.

  • I’d recommend against it. The girls in the picture were 15 and 16 when the movie came out.

  • Yeah, there are exceptions to the rule.

  • Football teams are generally named after the city they’re in, not the state. The state of Washington is home to the Seattle Seahawks.

  • Boeing doesn’t make the engines.

  • Priests are bound to confidentiality for whatever was confessed to them during confession. It’s part of why people confess to them. Priests are then able to encourage people to seek help, talk to the police, etc., but they themselves aren’t supposed to report what is said to them. In a few flavors of Christianity, including Catholicism, confession is considered a sacrament. It’s between the believer, their priest, and their god.

That’s what this ruling is about. Priests are still mandatory reporters for anything they learn outside confession.

  • Okay, well, again, don’t use disposables. Get your eliquid from a reputable shop. Or mix your own. I did, it’s not hard.

  • I respect people trying to make a regressive organization less regressive. If they go around publicly decrying the group, that group is more likely to simply reject them than to consider what they’re saying.
