  • Even if you distilled the purpose of living things down to their most basic mathmatical objective, you would still be wrong. At it's very core the so called raison d'être of living things is to assist in the long term survival of their species. Even for something like a virus which doesn't even really meat all the basic criteria to be called "living", overwhelming and killing the host before the virus has a chance to spread is in every way a failure.

Even better is that this argument, the "most fundamental purpose", when applied to humanity actually means that the "aberrations" that fundamentalists hate most are actually an integral part of the system. LGBTQ+ and the neurodiverse (ADHD, autism, ect) all benefit the growth of the species. Having members that contribute to the strength of the species, who can fight, gather, and assist with the offspring of others without creating their own competitive offspring is a massive advantage when resources are limited. The fact that those same noncompetitive (offspring wise) members can breed if something disastrous happens to the rest of the breeding stock is such a brilliant design that it makes a lot more sense to use that as an argument for "intelligent design" rather than the other shit that is usually dragged out. As for the neurodivergent, having members that think differently and are driven to try things that would be considered outside of normal range is really the only option for growth once the "normal" resources reach capacity.

So, if your argument at this point is that humanity should have all transitioned to be LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent, then maybe you aren't doing it completely wrong, but I am still not sure that is really the answer either.

  • It's not like Gary is the worst place in the world... Even though I can't think of any place right at this moment... but statistically... Well how about that town right at tip of the Great Lake's cock where the sp called "Demon House" was? That place has to be much... What?... It's the same place? It is? Ohh...

  • Turning off your GPS will not turn off location sharing to Google or other people, it will just fall back to using cell towers and wifi. Admittedly, it will be much more inaccurate, but it will still try it's best. You can also turn off wifi and even data service itself to save energy. Although at that point you might as well just turn off the phone. But I wasn't talking about system level shutdowns. I want talking about in comparison to your standard level of activity. If you have your GPS on for anything like maps or anything else, you aren't going to see a noticeable difference with personal location sharing on.

  • Or not. They could just as well not send anything at all and still meet the standards of that label.

  • Why even make a fucking lamp in the first place? Weren't regular lamps good enough as they were?

You kids these days... back in my day, before leds, you would never even consider using a lamp for any kind of sexual act. Between the bulb melting your flesh, the risks of broken glass, and the risks of electrocution... Well it just wasn't worth it.

  • Not really. Your phone is already doing location checks every few minutes for a variety of reasons, so it doesn't really affect it unless you have rooted your phone and hunted down all the little bullshit things that trigger location checks.

  • Me reading this while watching Paw Patrol with my youngest child: Uhmm, hey, why don't we watch some Octonauts for a while?

  • What? It's almost like you think burning witches at the stake and hanging people from trees based upon their skin color is a bad thing. Don't you know that large groups of random people are always the most logical and best thinkers the human race has to offer.

  • I think Anarchists are just psychopaths who are tired of society stopping them from doing what they want. All of the plans for how things will work out always conveniently ignore the existence of psychopaths.

  • There was also the hiring of spokes people like Martina Navratilova. I don't remember if she was 100% out at the time, but if not you had to be pretty dense not to realize.

  • Condoms can reduce sensitivity, but I don't understand the hate. Is sex for some people some kind of race to see who can cum first? Try taking your time and enjoy it.If you can't cum with a condom on, maybe the problem isn't the condom? Get your blood pressure checked. One of the first things I noticed when I started having issue with high blood pressure, was that the extra BP created a bit of extra "hardness", but also reduced my sensitivity.

  • What a weird way to tell us you are really into facials...

  • Ya, but your life experiences change you and the way you think. If you're software developer it becomes really difficult to watch any show with "hacking" in it. Firefighters and other first responders find it really difficult to watch anything that involves "rescue". There's a YouTuber with over 5 million subs who got his start on YouTube by being a firefighter who made fun of firefighting shows. Now magnify that be a couple hundred years. Your experiences, the things you would have lived through, the basic changes in technology, the world and just the way people live... Your way of thinking would be so radically different from someone who's only experiences have been in school, parents, and modern life that it would be insanity try to pretend to be one.I have enough trouble finding common ground and stuff to talk about with those old friends of mine that decided to never have kids or buy a house. I can't even conceive of how I would go about "blending" in with high schoolers for the rest of eternity.

  • Who gets to define what "mean" is? The US has a man baby in charge who thinks it's treason if you point out that he's wrong. It has a psychotic billionaire that accidentally bought a social media company and nearly wrecked three other companies in the process just because he thought some kid was being mean to him by republishing already public information on social media.I doubt if anyone up voted this post because they think you should be allowed to drive someone to suicide. They are probably up voting because there's a portion of the population that thinks they should be able to police what other people say and think.

  • I agree with AyuTsukasa, I don't understand it. And I am a massive pervert, like a serious deviant.

  • You are kind of right but your focus is way too narrow and short-sighted. The better off people around me are, the better off I am. Society is what brings me the comforts and freedoms I have today. Without society I would likely be some peasant living in a hut and trying to farm some desolate piece of land until I died at a very early age.By donating to medical research, I am able to improve medical care for all, and that includes myself. By donating to the arts I get to see art that I would have never been able to see otherwise. By donating to the poor and things like education, I reduce crime and violence where I live.So yeah, basically everything you do is self-serving, just try not to be such a basic bitch about the scope of your actions.

  • I remember back in school how they told us that jumping from the Golden Gate bridge would definitely kill you. In all that time since, I have not died from jumping off the bridge. I have never jumped off the bridge, but I have also never died from jumping off the bridge. So, now I think I was being lied to.
