  • I think if you look at everything that his administration is doing, I definitely believe that they are trying to stir up enough shit to get people to lash out, and then they will declare martial law and then we will effectively have a new monarchy in the USA.

    Do I really think that Trump would have someone killed just to change the national conversation? Of course he would, without any problem. However, I don't think Trump had him killed mostly because I don't think Trump is running the show. When I compare his first administration to his second, they are clearly not being run by the same people.

    Trump is also obviously as bad off as Biden was at the end. He's a zombie puppet that gets dragged out for show.

  • You are correct, and I think most people on the left feel exactly the same. Which I think is why the people who seem to be shooting at the conservatives have been the same nuts that they have been stirring up to back them. However, I also understand why people feel such schadenfreude for the very people who are the ones out there motivating the nuts in the first place.The real question is will Trump use this as the excuse they have been looking for to declare martial law?

    Secondarily, anyone want to place bets on how long it will take for us to find out that the shooter was right wing nutter?

  • From B to GGG! Holy shit! That's fucking insane. I thought we were talking about some general swelling sort of on the order of what happens with pregnant women. And it happened within a 6 month period? I can't even begin to comprehend what that must have been like. She would have had to have woken up every morning with a noticable increase in size. I'll bet it started out as a "wow, this is a nice little perk" and very rapidly escalated to "WTF!". I also really like that the all fixed picture is waaayy bigger than the original B size.

  • I had that attitude the first time around, but they have had a decade of this guy and his cohorts. At some point they have to be accountable for their actions. He directly and indirectly caused the deaths of millions of people and is in the process of causing untold numbers more. His actions in just the last 6 months will have repercussions that will kill and maim people for several generations. At what point is it ok to hold the not just the abusers, but the facilitators of the abuse accountable for their actions?

  • Don't condescend to these people. They have the same satellite/cable TV and broadband internet that the rest of us have. These are educated people. Do you realize how many programs, grants, and entire colleges are focused on farmers/ranchers? Half the colleges in the south are either agriculture colleges or have agriculture programs. Even the inner city highschools have FFA programs. These people went to college and have at least 4 year college degree.They may be awash in propaganda , so are the rest of us. But they outright defended the pedo who praised the Nazis and said he wanted to be a king. They cheered when he said that if he got elected they would never have to vote again. This is what they knowingly voted for.

  • That's really cool. The borrowing thing is the part of common core that they teach in elementary, and it is the part that enrages conservatives. The point of the homework and practice questions is to repeatedly do the borrowing thing until it becomes automatic and something that they do in their heads all of the time. So, it absolutely enrages the right when kids get the correct answer, but lose points for doing the problem the wrong way.I was taught to do it the hard way and had to figure out the other tricks for myself much later in life, so now, even after decades of doing it your way, it's more of a struggle than it should be and I just reach for my calculator instead. So I envy you quite a bit.

    Keep up the good work with your subversive teaching of common core principles as tips, tricks, cheats and shortcuts. That's actually how they should have branded it, instead of common core, it should have been cheating core, then they would have been all for it.
