  • I would agree that the Japanese lander was a success. But I refuse to enable western hypocrisy that labels the exact same actions by two different stages in opposing viewpoints just for propaganda.

  • Failure. Just as the Japanese one that was labeled a failure by the western news just weeks before that did the exact same thing. Articles were even published saying after japan's failure, the US could be the first to land successfully on the moon in so many decades. And it didn't so its a failure.

  • If you hop jobs, I'm not hiring you*. Yes I make those decisions. No I do not expect you to stay forever, but 1yr at a time I can barely get productivity out of you. Some of these people do 6 months. To everyone that knows, all that looks like is grifting your probationary period. Get hired, assigned tasks, fail spectacularly, get booted out or leave before they find out you're incompetent.

*Except one guy. He was a brilliant weirdo that job hopped because no other company would bend their policies to fit weirdo's requirements about work and life. He was exceptionally brilliant, like dozens of patents under his name, and literally invented novel ways of doing things. He got a try. His weirdness evolved into even weirder, we let him do his thing and whatever because again, absolutely brilliant. And he's still there and happy enough.

  • I desire the browser to work as well as it did a decade ago. It worked perfectly all the time. Now I'm task closing it once every days because an entire window just goes blank white and never context updates. The CPU usage randomly spikes super high. It eats RAM uncontrollably and seemingly never releases what it should and holds on to what it doesn't need forever.

I don't need AI. I need a good browser. And many of these issues are Chromium and why I switched from Chrome long ago (which I had switched to after FF broke all the extensions 20 years ago in the first place). This really shouldn't be that hard.

  • Very few who read the headline will even know the EU exists. So yes it's needed.

And the EU should sue as they have before for anticompetitive practices against many corporations for doing the very same thing. That's how the EU works and it actually produces change unlike the shitty USA.

  • Headlines like this should be illegal.

Apple is forced by the EU to stop being a dick and open up their ecosystem. Apple is also purposefully making the experience so terrible that nobody will dare use it.

I hope the EU sues and bankrupts them.

  • So apparently any non patriotic American content is removed here too. When America commits genocide it's censored. Got it. Left reddit for poor moderation, leaving here. Peace.

  • You label them as terrorists. Others label you the same way. If you fail to see how your global actions are never in the wrong, you have worse common sense than North Korean propagandists

  • Don't borrow what you can't afford to repay. Easy. Not everyone was stupid enough to get indebted up to their eyeballs, and many weren't "fortunate" enough to even try.

  • Spices are not heat. End of story. If you don't understand this, you are obviously a pasty white American and the exact point being made.

  • Murica smells those barrels of freedom sauce. The rest doesn't matter.

For those that don't know US oil interests, like Exxon, are already exploiting those fields for private profit. So now it's the United States Territory of Guyana. Until the oil dries up. Then it's back to "f-off poor Latin country"!

  • No it isn't... It has more spices. It does not have more capsaicin. Indian food by default is NOT spicy hot. It is spiced. You can get it spicy hot but that's not default.

It's like saying fried chicken is spicy because you can order it with a hot sauce coating. In reality just that style of preparation is spicy.

  • It's so common people don't even see it. But it's the same thing as Mexican food. The perception is it is spicy and will give you diarrhea.

I firmly believe this is because American people in general don't understand what spices are. Spiced does not mean spicy hot. Spiced is flavourful and they just can't have that. I have dined with Americans that truly believe black pepper is too spicy. We had a Starbucks chai which is absolutely terrible, and they've said "it's too spicy"... What? Their brains equate flavour to spicy heat to bad.

    It's stupidly infuriating.

  • Nothing to do with being fat. Some people have zero idea how a shower works. You need to put the liner IN the tub area and the decorative curtain outside the tub. Many people push them both outside the tub. Now all the water that splashes around hits the liner and drains right onto the floor and not into the tub.

The amount of water splashing makes no difference if you're big or small. Pressurized water hitting you is going to bounce all over. Since you're taking a shower, that's the goal.

If I had to guess, the curtain is wrong, he has no idea because nobody has ever told him and the bathroom is terribly non water tight so splashing will go down through the floor. Even tile is not waterproof nor is grout.

It's why I always specify a waterproof membrane and floor drain but it's not common in US/Canada yet.
