  • I jumped off Amazon and am now using Target. Target tried, but took so much backlash they took a step back.

  • "Tribal knowledge" is exactly what I was trying to express. I've been called back to consult with previous jobs because even though everything was fully documented, systems change over time and not everyone knows how to reconnect the pieces once that happens.

This is going to be a huge mess for you guys and I'm really not sure what the best play is. In some cases, letting things fail that slow negative progress is better in the long run. In other cases, failure is exactly what this administration is looking for.

You seem to have a very good grasp of how things work there. I hope there are enough bright people like you to navigate this in the best way possible.

  • Does this mean historical knowledge will leave quickly leaving gaps in how or why things work?

  • Weren't COVID rates fairly different based on party affiliation?

  • Everyone hating on the build quality but my Pebble still works and I've gone through numerous other smart watches that have all died. Looking forward to the next gen!

  • This site is an amazing start! Glad it exists right now.

  • Easier to get up and running with it's own interface (no need to run on localhost/with browser). Ollama is better if you want to tweak and customize.

  • I agree. We won't see a huge response until people start getting hit by high prices for most things and they see items missing at their grocery stores. My guess is May/June - especially when the temperatures warm up across the U.S..

  • I'm not talking about buying one. Just comparing the cars themselves. Teslas are falling behind.

  • Truly rich people have a chef that buys what they want and cooks it for them. It's not an area where they save over the average person. They just do it differently.

  • Have you seen the Xiaomi SU7? Cheaper, faster, arguably much better looking....

  • Wear a mask and shades plus leave your phone at home if you're worried about being tracked. It's really not that hard to figure out.

  • Ok, how much time do you think one should have to remove their items in this situation?

  • To be fair you'd probably fit right into a large organization's IT department.

  • I once got busy in one of your bathrooms

  • I've been off Reddit for a while but I'd be lying if I didn't just go look at /r/conservative to see."I pray Trump knows what he is doing, because if this doesn't work and just results in higher prices and nothing the average person can identify as a positive, then people will sour on Trump.""Im really worried this is going to bite us hard causing prices to skyrocket.""I’m in the construction industry and would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous for this rollercoaster." In general, some longer comments are basically saying tariffs will work to bring home manufacturing. The problem with this is we would need manufacturing of most of these things IN PLACE NOW to be ready to do that. We're not since it's a surprise to both U.S. citizens and Canada. Many other posts are being deleted -- most I've ever seen, but again it's been a while since I've looked at Reddit.

  • It's proof that it's not about the economy which would mean the door is always open to negotiate a better deal. It's not about drugs since Canada could be calling to say, "We've made X changes to reduce drug trade."

So that begs the question: what is this all about?
