  • Ah, the "we have StarCraft at home" RTS

  • As a reference manager? I just use sticky notes that I place on a second monitor.

  • I'm very upset the randomized control didn't involve fake shells.

Participants received either intervention of shankh blowing or a sham procedure (deep breathing exercise) for 6 months.

  • Don't think of it like that, think of it as 10% of your total blood plastic!

I wonder if doing plasma instead of whole blood is better or worse. Does microplastic stay behind or go back in?

  • Propagandhi is an amazing band name!

  • For (possibly) broken bones, it's zero days here. Straight to the doctor you go. A three day cough will have to be pretty damned serious before you get to see a doctor though.

  • But it is difficult for me to express my thoughts briefly. Or how do you think it can be shortened?

Well... You could ask chatGPT to shorten it for you.

  • I was one of those "smart kids in highschool". University hit me like a ton of bricks, suddenly having to spend home time studying was something I was totally not used to.

I mean, I had this theoretical understanding of homework and studying, but I never did it more than an hour a week.

Doing my first 2 semesters twice was a great wakeup though.

  • I thought it was ridiculous to make your own air conditioner out of cheap materials, but apparently it's actually quite cool.

If your freezer is in the same room as the ice you get from the freezer, this just warms your house more...

  • That does NOT look like an explosion that only killed 5 people.

  • Normally I'd agree, but this IS a Russian chain link fence.

  • There are some great patterns for electric looms available specifically to make really old weaves. That's basically a super modern way to do something medieval. Similar pattern exist for embroidery machines, since old-timey embroidery is generally not a thing modern machines do (well).

I'm sure there's similar things available for a knitting machine

If you want to do modern loam, you're basically buying laboratory-made, specifically mixed loam. It's very hightech really, compared to "guy walking through field to spot OK-ish loam".

  • Screwworm is a fly larvae, the odds are decent it can't survive to far north.

But thanks to climate change, that's changing

  • Humans do this to balance our side-by-side walking method. But galloping horses have a foward-backward movement.

Would the arms go do the running thing, but synchronized?

  • So, so so very much is projection.

They want to cheat on their wives with hot women, and so they assume everyone wants that. The only reason other people don't is because they can't, or because society will hate them for it. Trump normalizes this because he has power, so they like it.

They want to fuck little girls, and so they assume everyone wants to fuck little girls.

They are super fucking racist, and so they assume everyone is. And that's bad, because that means they NEED to strike first, because they know that's exactly what the other side wants to do. And everyone who doesn't want to kill black people is a traitor, since they know black people want to kill them.

And they are deeply insecure, because in their worldview that just makes sense. It comes with the xenofobie. Thats why they oppose divorce (well they can leave women, women can't leave them). Thats why they oppose abortions, because it's all about controlling women too.

  • Like, Jesus had only one major commandment: Love Thy Neighbor.

Wut? Jesus had lots of commandments. Just read the Sermon on the mount and you'll spot dozens. And the entire thing is hugely problematic as well, you can't really find three concurrent sentences that are good.

  • I mean, it might... but we haven't shown it does.
