  • The first page loads fine. When you click next, it times out.

  • All of the sorting algorithms except top timeout after the initial load of posts.

Everything works if I open a browser and go to old.lemmy.zip on computer or phone. It times out on every app I've tried and on my PC. I've tried boost, thunder, sync, and jerboa. However, it does work if I'm not logged into an account.

Basically, if you have this bug you are forced to use top or open a browser and use old.lemmy.zip

  • The sorting algorithms are still broken from the first piefeed update. I don't know if it's instance related or not.

  • It's been about while so I don't recall if I had them on separate drives or not but windows would delete the linux boot partition during updates.

  • This is why I no longer dual boot and removed windows all together.

  • I upset the trump supporters. I'll see myself out.

  • This irks me so much. The Google assistant worked, was simple, and only relayed what was needed. This was peak "AI" or whatever you want to call it.

They forced gemini by default and it's constantly saying it doesn't have permission, it doesn't know how to do this yet, and goes on for a paragraph or two for the simplest query.

  • You mean any task? I don't want ai on my phone at all.

  • I used xorg on mint and wayland on arch. No issues related to drivers on either.

  • It used to be this way and was one of my biggest complaints. It's no longer this way. Drivers for my Nvidia card works fine on my mint and arch setup.

  • I guess lemmy is dying. No one can fix the issue the piefeed update caused and no one cares.

  • Wait until they figure out hytale released a similar looking game

  • I had a co worker today say trump was the lesser evil between him and Kamala. Then proceeded to say he was better than Biden, Obama, and Bush. I've lost all respect for him.

Another one said there's no reason to worry about politics because you can't fix them. They also vote republican, 100% only because they supported the second amendment.

There's nothing you can say to change their mind. We're just fucked as a country because our average IQ seems to be in the single digits.

  • Our goal of shipping all three products in the first half of the year has not changed. But we have work to do to land on concrete pricing and launch dates>

  • I don't really know where to post this so I'm hoping someone can point me to the proper community.

Ever since the first Pie feed update 2-3 months ago, lemmy sporadically works. It will load the initial "first" page of posts on both mobile and on the web (PC or phone). Posts seem to work fine when I use old.lemmy. On the phone, posts seem to work in "anonymous" mode. I don't know if this is specific to lemmy.zip or if the first piefeed update broke lemmy for me somehow. I've tried the usual, clear cache, delete files, and try new apps. I have the same issue on mint and arch. It will randomly just work for a day or two between the months. I don't know what to do anymore.

  • I'm a steam and gog fan.

I use steam for the ability to plug in any controller I want and instantly be able to use it. I can download controller maps from the community on the fly.I can stream straight to my TV and play in any room with a TV in it with zero effort. I can join my friends games with two clicks. Remote play allows you to play games you don't even own with your friends. Works on linux. Integrated workshop. Easy modding.

I use gog for older games not on steam. Works on linux. (Heroic at least)

I could go on with steam, but those are the key points stands alone games don't offer.

  • I'm all for rulings against anti competition, but what does valve do that's actually anti-competitive? They're the most user focused storefront out there.

Are they stating AAA games have increased in cost because of this? I've noticed a lot of new games are $70 to $100+, but I've associated those with shitty companies being greedy.

  • This is one of the main reasons people don't vote blue. They care a lot about their firearms. If the red start going after them, grab some popcorn because things will go down. Maybe this is whats needed to get them to open their eyes.

  • Different distros have different bells and whistles. Mint is a long term stable distro, but comes with a dated feel. Which is great for some. I've used it for about a year.
