  • Ha. I guess that is the give away! I didn't see that at first.

  • I'm puzzled. Northern Rock closed 12 years ago. The photo though doesn't look that old?

  • Endless wars about federations. Ha, so true. Along with switching to Linux and Privacy.

  • I ran lots of containers on a Pi 4 but recently purchased two cheap Chinese mini PC's with 16GB RAM and an SSD. They're so much faster and only a bit dearer than a Pi. I run Proxmox on both.

    Absolutely nothing wrong with the Pi though. The Pi 4 lives on with a USB drive attached. I have NFS configured on it to backup my Proxmox VMs to it. It also hosts all the media for Jellyfin.

  • Only UK is known to have only moderate decline, but they probably think it's independence for UK to buy Tesla, because fuck Europe for some reason???

    That's a strange comment to make and I doubt it has anything to do with the EU.

    Any UK EV car review I watch, the Tesla comes out on top. The issue with EV's is public charging and Tesla's charging network is a big reason people go with Tesla's. They also tend to have the longest range and retain their value longer. Company cars are also favouring EV's to make themselves look better and once again the Tesla is the recommended vehicle by the leasing company. Why? Because of the charging network.

    The other obvious one is the UK public consumes a lot of US media and social media and therefore is now heavily influenced by the US.

  • Does Lemmy have an equivalent to /r/usdefaultisum ?

  • I use PipePipe as it has sponsor block baked in

  • Caddy is awesome! I originally went for nginx proxy manager to manage my certs as it has a GUI. However, despite being text based, Caddy is so even easier to configure...

     {

            email myemail@mydomain.net
    }

    jellyfin.mydomain.net {
            reverse_proxy 192.168.0.1:8096
    }

    That's all there is to it. Caddy does the heavy lifting.

  • Any guesses on the fancy marketing name they'll give it?

  • He's been very successful in business. Not just once or twice.

  • How is such a smart guy so dumb?

  • Do you happen to have an invite code for rise up? Seems I need one to register

  • I use nextdns on my network and there’s a filter there for smart tvs. Samsung seems to want to call home the most.

  • Or, you know, it's fake...

  • They got to the kitchen, got the ingredients and then balanced them and then responded within 1 minute?

  • Work fine for finding locally if in Bluetooth range. Not good for finding lost things outside of that. I lost some keys in July last year. Still not found since then.

    Apples biggest benefit is the sheer number of phones that can help locate lost items. I was hoping Androids Find my Device network to be the same but currently it's really lacking.

  • The Pixel Buds don't ship with a cable either.

  • I kinda miss the animated logos you would see in Netscape and Internet Explorer.

  • Hello fellow web surfers. I am finally joining you on the internet super highway. A/S/L?
