  • A couple times. Also modified some in text format. Not as an everyday activity, though.

  • Gatekeepers are maligned but often necessary. Minimum hurdles help greatly, even. Any space in which you must pay to participate, especially for no guaranteed service or product, is likely to be better than the open public space.

  • Let me guess. You game.

Everything in life is training for the next day. Spending so much time training yourself to expect things to follow the common logic of games leads to that expectation 'leaking' out of its context. If you spent all day watching porn, eventually, you'd expect life to follow porn rules. If you spent all day on 4chan, you'd expect people to act like meme-brained incels. Even something like doing sudoku teaches you to see numbers in boxes and look for the pattern to fill in other boxes. Where someone who spent their life immersed in religion might see spiritual possession, you see NPC behaviours. This is conceptual framing, a.k.a. ideology.

As for that particular guy, based just on the info given here, I'm guessing drugs. Work sucks. Some people do drugs about it.

  • At least it wouldn't be as readily used by real Nazis as propaganda by making them look bad-ass.

  • It is not the fault of the customer that the management refuses to pay the wait staff a living wage. It is not the responsibility of the customer to subsidize the management's failure to make a profit if they cannot afford to pay a living wage. If they cannot afford to pay the employee and still make a profit, it's not a business. It's a scam.

  • Pity the poor souls who don't like onions. No place is safe for them. The foods of all lands are just too delicious for them to handle.

  • The trick is, it's not a commonly used phrase. The chunk of the English speaking world that hears 'Death to America' and thinks 'As peaceful as possible an end to the malign actions of the american government and it's supporters' is tiny. The vast majority of people just hear it as hate, and even a fair sized chunk of the people who are shouting it are shouting it in the literal, hateful sense of 'kill the Americans.' You can't tell which is which without a conversation, and shouting 'death to' is not conducive to letting people have the conversation that would let them tell the difference between a person who wants fewer murders and one who wants more.

Yeah, it's sort of a slogan to some people, but it's a shit slogan. "Free Palestine!" means 'free Palestine.' "End apartheid!' means 'end apartheid.' "Death to america!" is ambiguous, at best, and only serves the interest of the American propaganda wing by letting them claim everyone is out to kill Americans because they are American, making their actions into justified self-defense. Don't help the propagandists. Don't support the narrative. Supporting their narrative is supporting them. I don't think that's what you want.

  • Might have to age her up a little to allow certain scenes to even be shot, but it'd make a great movie. Then again, if you wrote around it, it'd be brutally effective to show the reality of her seducing those Nazi soldiers and killing them as a literal child.

  • I dislike this, not because it is anti-vegan, but because it is not very well-made as a comic. No punchline. No word play. No visual exaggeration gag. It's too long to be a visual one-liner, and too short to establish and then break an expectation.

It saddens me to ask this, but is this AI? It has that uncanny 'shaped like an joke but not actually a joke' feeling genAIs produce.

  • A literal bronze bust?

  • The duo arrive in Oregon again. They've been sent because of a series of events revolving around a pair of fraternal twins, a teenage boy and girl, who, according to locals, 'just went crazy.' They meet a pair of DEA agents named Scullder and Mully who have been working on an adjacent case. The town is the home of a mirror factory, and loaded with art made from mirrors. Teens in the town seem to display odd behaviour, almost psychic, but only after partying. Scully immediately asks Milder if this is demons from mirror dimensions, and Mulder decides on no evidence that it's something mundane.

As the investigation progresses, the twins turn out to have been on a new drug, developed by a scientist who once worked as an offshoot of MK Ultra. He has developed a pair of chirally matched designer drugs that produce shared sensation and mental connection through the 'twin connection,' originally intended to let American interrogators connect and 'download' the memories of spies and communists. Now, he just wants to make money and continue his other research. The twins were an unfortunate accident, overloading their 'twin connection' and scrambling their identities and bodily systems until they were melded into one mind that couldn't control two physically different bodies, causing their 'madness,' 'seizures,' and death.

  • Depends on the GUI. I love having GUIs for things, but I might have a hard time deciding between using CLI to launch everything and using GNOME.
