  • 70% of the buildings in Gaza were destroyed under Biden. The famine started under Biden. Harris said she would do nothing differently. Biden broke his promises to the Arab and Muslim communities, he ignored community leaders who warned him that his most reliable voting block would stay home, and Biden lied and said he heard them and would change course. He didn’t, despite losing all those votes in the primary.

Voting for Biden would have rewarded the bad behavior and send a message to all future democrats that you can take those votes for granted and still win. Not voting ensures that you’ll be taken seriously in future elections down the line. It’s a prisoners dilemma problem.

And yes, we all knew Harris is better than Trump. She threw away her own election rather than give a centimeter to help Palestinian voices. She wouldn’t admit Biden did anything wrong and that’s what cost her the millions of votes. She wouldn’t even let Palestinians endorse her at the DNC and tell everyone to vote for her. The fault is hers not any voters.

  • Am I supposed to know what this is or what it does?

  • Yes, but Mamdani has shown his willingness to fight for us. Even if he can’t pull off all his agenda, it’s still better than the alternative candidates who won’t even try.

  • This is NOT “playing out like it would for decades.” Previously you’d be out on bail or released on your own recognizance. Trump’s administration has changed all that and requiring people to be imprisoned for weeks to months. This doesn’t benefit the taxpayer and is keeping visitors away, and damaging our own economy and costing us allies.

  • Should have but didn’t. That’s the objectionable part.

  • It’s not even a leak if Netanyahu is tweeting in Hebrew that he’s blocking all aid from entering Gaza.

  • Tanks rolled through Rafah and Biden claimed that it wasn’t an invasion so Netanyahu didn’t cross his “red line.”

It’s obviously worse than a war but they won’t call it an extermination.

  • Yes it is. We shouldn’t go back to lynch mobs. My city nearly beat a man to death in a case of mistaken identity.

  • Exactly. Trump won Michigan in 2024 by a margin greater than all the third party voters combined.

  • Israel is NOT our only ally in the Middle East. We have good relationships with every country there except Iran. Frankly we’d have even more friends if we didn’t unconditionally back Israel and their wars on every one of their neighbors.

  • That’s just for a single military program. We also give $18 Billion a year to Israel and have given something like $200 Billion over the last 70 years to Israel.

  • I sure hope he didn’t have a seizure while driving or something like it then.

  • But corporations don’t want to spend money on customers, so they’d rather keep customers on slow speeds and charge the same price.

  • That’s not quite the case. The mujahideen did splinter and civil war broke out, then the Taliban arose from the US+Pakistani training program from the Cold War with Saudi funding and steamrolled the factions taking over.

  • “They’re someone else’s problem.”

  • Nonsense. They also uplift people and do a lot of good in the world. Billions of people find benefits in religion. The problem is human nature.

  • Don’t say “religion” when you only mean Christianity.

  • As best as we can tell, he truly didn’t care what locals thought. He wanted to buy the land and make everyone else leave so an all Jewish state could be created.

Unfortunately this plan didn’t sit well with the locals who eventually stopped selling land to these newcomers, and the rising illegal immigration caused conflicts. Eventually an actual war erupted and new militias massacred and forcibly expelled the local Arab communities, creating the Israel we have today.

Herzl’s concept wasn’t as terrible on paper as it actually was in practice. (It just wouldn’t work in modern society where countries aren’t governed under ethnic supremacy) But likely if the World Zionist Congress had voted a different way, we’d be talking about how awful Israel was for mistreating Ugandans and forcing them off their land.
