What we've seen as a trend with Hershell Walker, DeSantis, Vance and a few others that Trump's special immunity to pushback or what some call the "soft bigotry of low expectations" doesn't extend far beyond him.
With luck, the MAGA movement of "ignorance uber alles" will perish with him. Ideally, it will perish in November.
Don't underestimate his getting absolutely destroyed on a national stage by Disney in a fight of his own choosing. His plan to shut down their "wokeness" and take control of their park backfired spectacularly.
DeSantis got outmaneuvered so easily and completely by their lawyers it made him look like a clown.
What he means is to take them away from people that arent in the cult - that don't agree with, or look like, him and his followers. But eventually the leopard will eat your face too.
I totally came to say this. Google has become designed to tarpit you into staying on the site longer. They no longer have the goal of giving you what you want quickly, they want you to see more ads.
Google makes $307/yr. per user. They are strongly motivated to tarpit us. If we want a clean search experience we need to be open to the idea of paying.
As an embedded systems dev that searches a lot of obscure stuff, I use Kagi and love it. Go try its free searches and see for yourself.

I was just reminding you that many of us have jobs or software tools that preclude us from using Linux day-to-day regardless of how much we might like the idea. Having a more comfortable windows experience has value to us.
I'm locked on windows because of very expensive embedded systems dev tools. Give people some credit for having considered linux; not everyone can switch.
I'd love to switch to linux but it just doesn't make sense for me.
I'm an embedded systems developer and my proprietary toolchain is windows only. Additionally I use several Adobe product routinely (illustrator, photoshop, premier).
People that say they can't see themselves paying for Search underestimate the value of clean high quality search results.
I'm a business owner and developer of firmware for esoteric products. I need high quality, powerful searches that don't waste my time. Kagi is great for that. I created lenses on Kagi that I can use to focus my searches, a great time saver for me.
