    Bigfoot is one I lean more to it existing. There's a lot of circus around the people looking for it, yes. But I've seen/heard enough accounts of interactions that do I believe there's some common denominator it all.

    Is there a smoking gun? No, but I do think the wilderness is wilder than we think. Like whatever is absolutely booking it along this cliff.

    Then this one, definitely just a dude in a suit... doing a masterclass in practical effects? I don't know. That's not a small tree.

    I think there's a better chance of something big, smart, and strong bipedal in the woods than the WH for sure.

  • I know of one spot near me that's been hit three times.

    It's hardly a bend, but what will get people is the slight rise in the road before it. You don't notice it at 35 (or even 45) , but if you're reckless and over compensate when your weight comes back down you end up in their living room.

    Never seen this photo, but I instantly recognized the mill having grown up in the area, though the photo predates me by a decade and some change. Photo is literally taken along my bus route of k-12. That 7 minutes or so of road along the river smelled (and smells) just as bad as you'd imagine.

    Used to hurt my throat as a kid on the bad days.

  • They're not supposed to make sense. Russia did this exact thing within its own borders after the fall. You have the most outspoken poles of the political spectrum do complete 180s. Why?

    Because you're trying to keep the people from organizing. You foment distrust in leaders and movements and try to keep people home by all means. You're trying to get people disinterested in the messy world of politics.

    Meanwhile, you identify the people who are willing to break the rule of law and follow orders and put them to work nipping at the edges of those brave enough to organize.

    It's happening now.

  • I believe it. Cold really changes things. Not only are you just burning more calories to stay warm, but I swear the cold fundamentally alters your metabolism when you're regularly exposed.

  • Not very, but once you start getting them you can become more prone. Swelling from infection can alter your ear canal to making it more likely to trap water.

    Some might tell you earplugs as a preventative, but they can cause problems of their own, especially if you take them out and put them back in during a session. Or if they get dirty.

    Swim caps will keep most of the water from your ears, and if you've longer hair I'd suggest a cap regardless.

    Really you should be fine so long as you're not sleeping with water in your ear. Especially if you're in a pool and not open water. They weren't common when I was swimming.

  • Not gonna debate that. Had one andanytime I had water touch it, it felt like a screwdriver was being jammed into my ear.

    Much of the US is experiencing prime weather for apple jack actually, though it's a little late to get a mash started in time for this weekend's weather.

    My tin foil hat theory is it's to push these boomers and X'ers further into stock market greed because they're now scrambling to secure retirement savings for a few decades they hadn't planned for.
